TRANSFER CREDITS
Students transferring to
Whitworth with an AA or
AAS degree approved
under the upside-
down degree option are
guaranteed a minimum
of 60 semester credits
and junior status. A
maximum of 64 semester
credits (96 quarter
credits) is accepted for
transfer to Whitworth
from a community
college. Completion of an
AA or AAS is not required
to transfer.
TUITION
Continuing studies
tuition is discounted
approximately
65 percent from
Whitworths traditional
day tuition; therefore, it
is competitive with state
and online institutions.
Tuition includes all
books and related fees.
As an extra perk, books
are included in tuition
costs and are delivered
to students the rst
night of class.
AGE REQUIREMENT
The recommended age
for admission is 23 and
older, though younger
students may apply for
admission under certain
circumstances. (See
Admissions tab for
more details.)
MATH REQUIREMENT
The math requirement
can be satised at
Whitworth with one
course. We do not
require the Math 90
series.

It is generally advisable
for students to satisfy
the Whitworth language
requirement by taking the
universitys three-credit

School of Continuing Studies
ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
The Whitworth School of Continuing Studies is designed for adult learners who,
because of work and family obligations, need to attend the university on a
schedule that ts their busy lives. Applicants to the School of Continuing Studies
must do the following:
Submit an online application with all supporting documents.
Meet with a Whitworth academic advisor.
Due to the expectation that students contribute knowledge gained in the work
environment to the collaborative learning in class, applicants to the School of
Continuing Studies under the age of 23 must also meet the following criteria:
1. Have family or work responsibilities that prevent her/him from
attending a traditional university program;
2. Have a two-year transfer degree or substantial previous college
experience, preferably with a 2.75 or higher GPA; and
3. Have three years of full-time employment history, documented by
submission of a rsum.
