the aim is to maximize the return on investment
within this time period and therefore, REC is the
right choice.

Built with precision by AEG Power Group, the clean
and well-arranged installation consists of more
than 23,000 REC Peak Energy Solar panels and was
completed in just four months from start to nish.
In the early months of the plants operation, the
electricity output has already been high a strong
indicator of how the plant will perform over the rest
of its lifetime, which is also guaranteed by RECs
industry-leading linear power output warranty.
The plant also already sees a high PLF (plant load
factor). As the plant is expected operate eciently

by around 7,272 tons each year.
This 5.8 MW solar power plant, owned and operated by BMD Pvt. Ltd. of India,
was constructed with precision by AEG Power Solutions Group, and is powered by
high-performing solar panels from REC.

With the Japanese feed-in tari scheme in place, owners
of solar power plants using solar panels from REC can
expect positive returns while contributing to local and

By constructing this power plant in the open grounds of

The ribbon cuting ceremony to ocially inaugurate the

Working with design company Mecasolar, the families
opted for a 548 kW ground-mounted tracker system
featuring REC A-Series 210 W solar modules. Their
decision was based on the performance-to-cost ratio
of the modules and RECs commitment to sustain-
ability. The system, executed by development
company Orion Solar, consists of 54 trackers grouped
into 6 separate sections of under 100 kilowats each.
This ensures that the project receives the Spains top
feed-in tari of EUR 0.455 per kilowat-hour.
The project, completed in May 2008, now generates
electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of
367 Spanish households. The power is routed directly
to the electrical grid, which distributes it to local users.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
RECs 210 A modules t the bill for a group of families that needed reliable,
high-performance modules for their desire to develop a cost-eective,
emission-free solar energy system.
A GROUP OF SPANISH FAMILIES together realized their dreams
and signicant savings - through a unique project in which they
used REC solar panels for a ground mounted solar system at their
family village in Arguisuelas, Spain.
Although now resident elsewhere, the three families maintained
close ties to Arguisuelas, where they wished to take concrete action
to protect the environment and promote the use of renewable solar
energy. They were determined to nd reliable, durable and
sustainably manufactured components to secure their investment
in the solar project, which was partially supported by external
nancing.
REC is the leading vertically integrated player in the solar energy industry. REC Silicon
and REC Wafer are among the worlds largest producers of polysilicon and wafers for
solar applications. REC Solar is a rapidly growing manufacturer of solar cells and
modules, and are also engaging in project development activities in selected
segments of the PV market. REC Group had revenues of NOK 8 191 million and an
operating prot of NOK 2 529 million in 2008. About 2 500 employees work in RECs
worldwide organization

We are already seeing very good results in the yield
and output data of the power plant, said Dragos
Constantinescu, Project Manager at Renovatio Solar.
Choosing REC solar panels for this project was a clear
choice as the quality and performance provide
excellent value.
Investors in the Izvoru Photovoltaic Park were
atracted to the project because of its expected
return on investment value. The electricity produced
by the solar park is sold as clean, green electricity. The
on-grid power plant produces enough electricity to
meet the annual needs of 4,300 households.
In addition to building this, the largest solar power
plant in Romania, Renovatio Solar is a pioneer in the
Romanian solar industry. The company also built and
owns the rst two operational solar power plants in
Romania, which are 1 MW each.
REC solar panels power the largest solar power plant in Romania, which produces
enough electricity each year to supply 4,300 households.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
ROMANIAS CURRENT LARGEST SOLAR POWER PLANT is
powered by 41,760 solar panels from REC. Located in Giurgiu
County in southern Romania, the 10 MW Izvoru Photovoltaic Park is
owned by Power Live One Srl and was built by Romanian EPC
company Renovatio Solar SRL.
Renovatio Solar needed only four months to complete the
construction and installation of the ground-mounted power plant,
which covers an area of 30 hectares. This is the third in Renovatio
Solars growing portfolio of installations using REC solar panels,
which includes 7 MW (Corabia) and 1 MW (Scornicesti-2) systems.
The strong partnership between REC and Renovatio Solar began at
Intersolar Europe 2012 in Munich, Germany, where the team at
Renovatio Solar rst met with REC.

Choosing REC solar panels for this project
was a clear choice as the quality and
performance provide excellent value.
