availableRbsChannelElementsDownlink

Hi All,
In a DUW 20, where 1 HS Code Resource ID is used, sum(maxNumHsdpaUsers) = 128 and
maxAdchReservation =84

Can you please clarify what will be the availableRbsChannelElementsDownlink should read
if licenseCapacityRbsChannelElementsDownlink = 320

Should the answer be 384 - 84 = 300 CE , or it should be 320 - 84= 236 CE

Hi all,

We recently have integrated some RBS 6601 and in the past days We have seen that the
availableRbsChannelElementsDownlink changes after unlocking the site in the RNC.

Reading in Alex availableRbsChannelElements is equal enabled downlink hardware capacity minus downlink
hardware resources needed for A-DCH channels.

We also have found:

By default, the amount of CE that is reserved for HSDPA in a DUW equals the lowest of the following:
0.5 1.3 sum of the values of the RbsLocalCell::maxNumHsdpaUsers attributes for all
cells.
0.5 1.3 number of configured HSDPA processing resources 128
Note:
If the value of the RbsLocalCell::maxNumHsdpaUsers attribute is set higher than the
Number of HSDPA Users per Cell license currently allows, the licensed value is used.
We have tried to measure the CE but maybe We are missing something to find the way to
calculate the CE in a 6601.

Mismatch B/w channel elements of NODE-B

I am facing a problem with my Node-B in my Node-B we are using DUW2001 which have 384/384CE

Thanks in advance
HI.

from your capture before, CE downlink is 96 and CE for uplink is 384 CMIIW.

this is the calculation for HSDPA CE consumtion..

By default, the amount of CE that is reserved for HSDPA in a DUW equals the lowest of the following:
0.5 1.3 sum of the values of the RbsLocalCell::maxNumHsdpaUsersattributes for all
cells.
0.5 1.3 number of configured HSDPA processing resources 64
For example a DUW is configured as follows:
Three cells are configured with RbsLocalCell, maxNumHsdpaUsers all set to 16.
One HSDPA processing resource
The licensed value of Number of HSDPA Users per Cell is 32
The reserved amount is by default the lowest of 0.5 1.3 (16 + 16 + 16) = 32 and 0.5 1.3 1
64 = 42, that is 32 CEs.
and also please check license for Channel Element Down Link HW Activation Code. i'm afraid your license 128 CEs
only.

128 -32 (reduce by HSDPA) = 96

96 are your available CE.
Hi All

I am stiil not able to understand this calculation i have 1 node-B which has DUW20 is there
that means 384 CE for uplink and 384 CE for downlink

i have hardware activation code of 128 CE for both uplink and downlink

license capacity is 128CE for both uplink and downlink\

hsdpausers are 16+16+16

numhscoderesources is 3

but when i use INVH command it shows 128 CE for uplink and 107 CE for downlink.

can anybody explain this thing because it is generating lots of alarms in the network

Thanks in advance
