Im sure that most of us have shopping to the modern market like

Carrefour, Giant LotteMart, etc. What about the traditional market? Do you go to traditional market as
often as modern market? Honestly, like all of you, I seldom go to traditional market because its more
comfortable to spend your money in modern market. In modern market, liked Giant, etc we can
shopped more comfortable : we dont need to bargained the price; the place is more clean; its smells
good. Well, people habit for shopping in modern market will influence the stability of
traditional market and more effect is bad damaged of the chain that depend on traditional
market. From Wikipedia, nowadays there are at least 65 Carrefour in Jakarta and it will be
more increase. The existence of modern market influence the traditional market. The construction of
modern market cause the decreasing of traditional market.According to the Chairman of
the AdvisoryPanel of Market Merchants Association ofIndonesia Hasan Basri, the existence
ofmodern market in Jakarta will closed a number of traditional markets in four years.For
example Kebon Melati Market, MarketTulodong, Sudimampir Market, and PasarKampung Melayu. In
other reason, many people who have enough money, are prefer to spend their money in modern
market because of its positive side. From this fact, dont you know that this condition will
give bad impact for many people, especially for the middle to lower community. Many people depend
their life in traditional market. There is a long chain of people lifes in there. If many traditional market
are closed, lots of merchant will lose their job. Then, the driver of vegetables from village to cities will
lose their job too. The small farmers are not able to distribute their wares to town. This is really bad,
right? This condition not only affects the chain of public life but also affect the middle to
lower consument. Consumers in this class can not full fill their needs because they can not buy their
needs in modern market. The demise of traditional market also gives effect to the social
system. In traditional market, people can interact with each other. Meanwhile, in modern market ,
individualistic attitude even more visible. To overcome the demise of traditional market, the
important role of government is needed. The government need to establish special role for keeping the
traditional market. The government must give clear rules for every development of modern
market. We, as consumers, also can participate for the existence of traditional market. How?
Its easy. Lets shopped in traditional market! By shopping in traditional market means we love
Indonesian product and also contribute to the existence of traditional market. So, lets
