Greetings
from Cynthia Hutchison
Healing Touch Program Director
Dear Readers,
Welcome to the May 2010 issue of Energy
Magazine! This months issue has a theme of self-discovery.
I happen to personally know all the authors for this month and
remember hearing their stories directly from them. One of the
things I most enjoy is to listen to personal stories. Its also part
of what I love about being a Healing Touch practitioner. I am
one of those people who benet vicariously through others
stories, in hopes that I can apply what they have learned in their
lives to my life. Sometimes it saves me from having to learn a
hard lesson on my own!
A story I would like to share with you about my own self-discov-
ery goes back to last July when I joined fteen people on an
oar-rowing sixteen day rafting trip on the Colorado River in the
Grand Canyon. We had four people to a raft and I was allowed
to bring one dufe bag of clothing and personal items. The
snake-like river alternated between being perfectly calm and
glassy to wildly roaring as we rafted 225 miles through about
100 sets of rapids. Several rapids were considered only
navigable by highly trained river guides. The temperature varied
from around 40 degrees on our rst night (I frozeburrrrrr) -- to
opposite temperatures of around 120 degrees, when I thought I
would literally melt. One time a scorpion decided to hang out on
my skirt, which required me to remember to ground, center and
attune to this poisonous little guy while river mates removed
him from my thigh. One dark evening, one of my daughters
found a large, irritable rattlesnake in our camp which was cap-
tured and relocated by a guide, but not before causing quite a
stir with his hissing, rattling and striking.
On the eighth day, in the middle of the trip, I experienced several
hours of hypothermia from not being able to dry out between
multiple sets of icy rapids, as the water temperature was un-
der 50 degrees. (Thats COLD!) During the hot nights, while I
preferred sleeping under millions of stars and the Milky Way, the
feeling of critters crawling on my skin often made me resort to
spending the rest of the night in a tent. An interesting challenge
was sharing one port-a-potty with 16 rafters. We were instructed
to always urinate in the river, but fecal matter had to be con-
tained and shipped along with us throughout the entire journey
until it could be disposed of at the end of our 225 mile excursion.
Early each morning we broke camp and headed out, often
stopping along the way to enjoy unbelievably beautiful hikes in
canyons, such as Havasu Falls and Deer Creek -- paradise-like
places. By 6:00 p.m. we would set up a new camp on a beach
along the way. Within our rst two days together, we all pretty
much knew how to work as a team and how to prioritize our
needs and safety. It was amazing!
This trip was truly an adventure for me in body, mind and spirit.
The external environment was rich in beauty and majesty,
especially the night sky, the ever present winding river and
the gigantic canyon walls which sometimes towered almost
2000 feet above us on either side. The inner adventure of fac-
ing new circumstances, new learning, and challenges was an

equally fascinating journey. I had to face my fear of water and of
cold, survive with few personal possessions, adjust to physi-
cal discomforts, remain positve, and learn to be more exible,
creative, tolerant and trusting. I went from initially fearing the
rapids to a combination of respecting them, letting go of a good
degree of fear, and embracing them like natures version of a
roller coaster ride.
While I learned about myself through self-observation, prayer
and journaling, I also learned a great deal from my canyon
colleagues who varied in age, sex, occupation and spiritual
orientation. It became so easy to be present to another amid
pristine nature without the noise of telephones, trafc or other
normal mundane distractions. Healing Touch came in handy on
a number of occasions when I used it to relieve two sprained
ankles, headaches and anxiety.
When I arrived home, after what felt like a rather surreal and
magical life-changing experience, I started to think of each day
in general as being a kind of daily journey of riding the waves,
winds and canyons of life. I had a new awareness that I would
be meeting interesting people and critters, new circumstances
and accompanying challenges, and that I would be experienc-
ing awesome and indescribable beauty (in places and faces)
and body-mind-spirit adventures. My Self Discovery was that
my sixteen day encounter with the Grand Canyon became a
self-encounter with Cynthia. It inspired me to remember the
inner adventure of my daily life, realizing that no day is ordinary
or without beauty -- no day is without tremendous opportunity
for growth and learning, or without the opportunity to face fears
and overcome them.
May each of you who read this allow yourself some time to
reect upon what self-discoveries you have made over the last
year, month or week. We never know what is beyond the next
bend of the river of our lives, but we can be sure that despite its
appearance -- benevolent forces protect us, nudge us to pay
attention and to embrace the opportunity to be present and
fully alive.
With the joy of self discovery,
Cynthia

Healing Touch Program is thriving in MN!
Healing Touch Program was well represented at the North
Central Healing Touch Community Gathering held in Plymouth,
MN March 2010. Over 198 participants attended this event!
The Healing Touch Program vendor table was a big hit! (pictured

Healing Touch Program Level 4 and 5 gathered at the Caron-
dolet Retreat Center in St. Paul, MN. It was a fabulous weekend
of learning, personal and professional growth, and relationship
building. Level 5 students celebrated successfully completing
the program and shared their encouragement and words of
wisdom with level 4 students. Level 4 students are excited for
the process of continued growth and development as they move
forward into their mentorship experience.
Healing Touch Level 6 in Boulder, CO
During our Level 6 new instructor training in Boulder, Colo-
rado, we invited local instructors to meet and cheer on our new
instructors on April 30th. What a fun gathering and reunion we
had while we shared lunch, inspirational stories and interest-
ing historic moments. Several elders joined us which made our
meeting even more special. Current HTP instructors are always
invited to repeat Level 6 (a 32 hour course) at no charge. This
round, seasoned instructors who joined us were Mary Du-
ennes, Nicole Kasemir and Jean Marie Givens-Myers.

Healing Touch Program continues on the
path to National Accreditation!
A huge step forward was taken towards accreditation this
month as HTP held a meeting of Subject Matter Experts
(SMEs) all day near Denver on May 6th attended by eight SME
volunteers and was facilitated by Janna Moll HTCP/I and Dale
Ferg HTCP of Energy Medicine Specialists. Cynthia Hutchison,
Program Director, Chris Gordon, Accreditation Project Man-
ager, and Sue Walker, HTCP, SME and Accreditation Project
Assistant were there to help support and lead the meeting.
This working meeting was part of creating much of the back-
ground documentation that will be used in the accreditation
process and that helps build on the foundation we have already
made. Much work has been being done in accreditation behind
the scenes for a while, and even though it has seemed quiet,
much work has been accomplished. Action towards accredita-
tion will begin to become much more visible very rapidly as
more volunteers are needed and asked to help as the process
accelerates.
We anticipate needing a pool of about sixty SMEs as we de-
velop the multiple choice test questions that will become part
of the future accreditation process. If you are an HTCP and
have an interest in being part of this exciting process please let
us know at aap@healingtouchprogram.com. Those that have
already volunteered will be hearing from us shortly.
All of us at HTP are grateful for the hard work and participa-
tion of the SMEs that are helping to keep this process moving
forward, and particularly thankful for the outstanding volunteer
coordination being done by Sue Walker and the expert guid-
ance we are receiving from our consultants, Janna Moll and
Dale Ferg!

SMEs for this gathering celebrated a toast to HTP working
toward becoming the rst nationally accredited energy
medicine program: Brenda Fister, Dale Ferg, Janna Moll,
Deborah Porter, Kitty Kelly, Cynthia Hutchison, Kristi Joy,
Lauri Pointer, David Barnett, Bonnie Thompson, and Sue
Walker. Please raise a toast in your own communities to this
wonderful accomplishment!

People often say that this or that person
has not yet found himself.
But the self is not something one finds,
it is something one creates.

If you have started thinking about where you are
at in your life, you have started on the journey of
self-discovery!
Self-discovery is a journey that continues our entire lives. Each
of us is in charge of our own journey. Our quest takes us to new
and different places, at different periods in our life, as we grow
and change. Each new discovery builds on the previous, build-
ing a wealth of wisdom and understanding that serves not only
us, but also those around us.
Learning is intertwined with the path of self-discovery. Learn-
ing provides opportunities for the discovery of new skills,
creativity, and to acquire knowledge. More than that, it offers
you an opportunity for renewal, excitement and the fulllment
of curiosity. Learning lets you explore new ideas, concepts and
ways of being.
We all have new things we want to experience in our lives,
things we want to try, things we still want to know about. The key
is to begin. Take that rst step, now. Dont put it off until some-
day when . . . It takes courage and persistence to begin. But
once you take that rst step, an amazing world begins to open.
The universe becomes attuned to your thoughts and desires.
As you learn and get absorbed in a new endeavor, you are giv-
ing yourself the chance to experience an energetic ow that
moves from the Divine to your inner core and back out into the
world. The benets of the learning process appear in all aspects
of your life. Relationships with others grow and improve. Most
signicant is the change in how you will feel about yourself.
As an educational program, Healing Touch, offers one path of
self-discovery. Healing Touch encourages learning to listen to
ones inner guidance or intuition and taking time to become self
aware. It provides a structure for an adventure into the world of
energy medicine. It opens doors to possibilities for healing,
physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, for both the
individual and for others in their world.
So often we hear students new to Healing Touch say that they
have been searching for something. Their quest for self-
discovery is urging them to seek something new and fullling
and Healing Touch strikes a cord within them. Healing Touch
Instructors and mentors have often witnessed transformational
change in students as they progress in their path of self-discov-
ery. This self-discovery ripples outward into the world and we
are all blessed!

I like to be creative, combining several things
for a fabulous outcome. Get the most bang for
the buck so to speak. While working on my own
healing and spiritual path I created the Bless-
ing of the Quilts. To clear my clutter and open
space for new growth, I decided to recycle the
scraps that were left from my previous sewing
business. I had half a brains worth of clutter. I
mean good fabric waiting to be something won-
derful for someone else. When I had my busi-
ness, the scraps (some more than six yards
long) were eventually used in some way. At that
time it was not a scrap pile, it was my personal
stash - a collectors dream. Now it was tak-
ing up space - not only in my house, but in my
life. There was so much time involved in deal-
ing with it while packing and unpacking when I
moved. (I had already made two moves with it
and knew I would be moving again the follow-
ing year.) This fabric was also good fabric, too
good to just throw out. I had previously offered all
of it to several sewing groups in my town - who
turned it down. This is absolutely unheard of in
sewing circles - turning down fabric- what were
they thinking?! Then, it hit me -- ta da! Clear my
clutter by making it a blessing for someone else.
This fabric needed to be made into quilts for The
Denver Childrens Hospital.
When I started the project I was just making quilts. Through-
out the months of making them the project grew or shall I say
evolved. What was interesting was that previously when I sewed,
I always listened to the radio. However, from the very begin-
ning when I worked on these quilts, it was different. I worked in
silence, often spending the day in prayer for the children who
would receive them. I came to understand that the fabric was not
accepted by the groups to whom I had offered it because this
project needed to be done and I was the one to do it.
I started to intuitively receive information about the children who
would be receiving the quilts - seeing, hearing, feeling, sensing,
and knowing. These children all needed so much love and heal-
ing. I had fabric stacked on my table, chest high, double wide
rows, covering the entire length of my 110 table. That was just
the start. In the middle of choosing fabrics and piecing together
what I thought I was making I would hear no not that - she or
he does not like that color. Get that piece in the pile over there.
I was always surprised because the fabric to which I was led
was usually one that I had not seen and about which I had for-
gotten. The color combinations became things I would not have
put together - some very unusual for me. As I worked, if I tried
to go with something other than what I heard, it did not work.
It would be either just a few inches short of what was needed
or the sewing machine would freeze up. I quickly learned that
whatever I heard I might as well do, because anything else
would not work no matter what I did.

Learning to Listen
Once I began listening to instructions, the information started
owing. The information was denite today were making one
for a little girl or this one is for a little boy. I learned about the
children -- the Navajo baby boy from one of the Dakotas, a little
boy from Minnesota, many for preemies, some age two or four.
There was a three-four year old little girl whose quilt was quite
plain. I kept thinking I needed to change the back so it would
just be plain on the front when I heard that hers was a brain
issue and she could not tolerate looking at too much. There
were preemie twins, a boy and a girl. All I knew was that she
was struggling more than he was. There was an African Ameri-
can girl who likes soft and pink - hers was made with satins and
velvets. Every quilt was meant for a specic child, the stories of
each unfolded as the quilts came together.
I had the tops of two quilts done in the rst days. For some
reason, I could not nish them. One was larger - the backing
I picked was brown velour, nice and soft. Every time I picked
it up, it did not feel right. Finally, when I was almost done I
needed some more batting to nish another quilt. I went to look
in a box I had not opened yet and found a soft owery print un-
der the batting. I knew instantly that it was the correct fabric for
the unnished quilt. I had thought all along it was for a little boy.
It was not - it was for a little Hispanic girl of around four. The
other quilt was soft fabrics, pinks, some solid, some with a print
- one with Xs & Os. I loved the quilt and at the same time could
not bring myself to nish it. She was very special, small, and
very ill. I nally nished the edges in creamy bridal satin - the
very best. Everyone who saw the quilts could identify that one
without me saying a word.
At the time I was also working towards my certication for Heal-
ing Touch. I knew if we could heal from a distance that the pos-
sibilities of what could be done were endless. Why not infuse
the quilts with love and energy? I decided to ask other healers
to help. Fun and fabulous things need to be shared! I thought
all of us would gain something unique to us. I also received
information that the quilts, once lled with energy, would be self
sustaining. They needed to be continually passed on to others
because they had a lot of work to do. To do this I could request
the help of Angels to prompt the owner of the quilt to pass it on.
When the quilts were completed (32 in all) I took them to a
beautiful overlook off the Blue Ridge Parkway above Asheville,
NC. There, I met with the other healers who were participating.
We prayerfully infused the quilts with love and healing energy.
Healing stones were also used. The stones used were Kunzite
for accessing Angel energy, Celestite also for Angel energy,
Selenite for higher vibration for the purpose of intuition and
healing, Sugilite and Innite known to be healers stones, and
Moldivite which is strong, powerful, and assists with the trans-
formation process. The vibrations of these stones in concert
with one another were very high - enhancing and supporting
the intentions of the quilts. We prayerfully requested that each
quilt would have its own Angel to see that it passed from child
to child, guiding it, until it disintegrates. Now that the quilts were
blessed, they were ready to be taken to The Childrens Hospital
in Denver, Colorado.
My car was packed and the quilts were on the seat behind me
as we left South Carolina. I tend to be sensitive to electromag-
netic energy in large doses. In big cities, we normally take back
roads and bypasses to avoid overload. However, on a trip of
this nature, high energy areas were just not possible to avoid.
Atlanta is a place where I usually do not venture. As we neared
the city I could feel the intensity of the energy, overloading me
and I felt ill. My husband suggested that I use one of the quilts
to see if it would help me. I thought I cant do that, when I
heard use the quilts!
I reached behind me and pulled a quilt to the front seat. It was
the largest one, interestingly. I did not remember it being on
top. I unfolded it over me. Instantly I felt calm, very tired and
could not keep my eyes open. The next thing I heard was its
okay now, wake up. I sprung up - surprising my husband and
asked where we were. He said that we were about 20 miles out
of Atlanta. I could not believe it! It was as if I had been anesthe-
tized -- instantly out and awakened when nished. When I real-
ized what happened I was ecstatic - I had worked on this great
project that just kept getting better. I knew then that everything
I had wanted and for which I had worked so hard - these quilts
were exactly what they needed to be. I felt privileged to experi-
ence the healing power of the energy that the other healers and

I had infused into them, as well as, the Angelic guid-
ance that had been requested.
It also got better! I do not sing. I like to, but it is not my
gift as in -- REALLY not my gift! If, you know what I
mean? When they were born, I am the mother whose
children requested, Mama please dont sing! The
whole trip - the whole trip I could not keep quiet, all
three days. I sang childrens songs the entire way. I
could not stop if I tried. When my husband talked to me
I would answer the question and keep singing. At one
point he asked Are you going to do this all the way?
I just shrugged. I sang songs I knew and ones I had
never heard before. There were a few with tribal beats,
others made me think of Indian songs and folk songs.
It was interesting. I decided that each child had his or
her song. Songs that their families sang to them or the
ones that would be their favorite. I was being included
and thanked by this sharing of part of their lives.
Once in Denver the blankets were delivered to The
Childrens Hospital. The Director of Volunteer Services
graciously accepted the blankets. As I left the hospi-
tal, I felt a sadness come over me as if I was leaving
behind someone I dearly loved. The tears came. In
that moment I knew that my sadness and the loss I
was feeling were the Angels that had been with me
throughout the whole process. I had been surrounded
by them for months, all day every day. Understanding
what was happening I blew them a kiss and thanked
them for all of it. We parted -- I, having nished my les-
son on learning to listen -- the Angels who accompa-
nied the blankets, off on their own journey of healing.
What a blessing! I keep listening and it just keeps get-
ting better!!

major underlying philosophy in
Healing Touch. In fact, Janet Mentgen
said on more than one occasion that
Healing Touch is really all about self-heal-
ing. As one of her early students, I often
pondered what she meant by that I
thought we were learning energy work to be
of service for others. How was taking care
of myself going to help others?
That was in my early days. Twenty years later, I am still dis-
covering the task of self-care and self-healing every day. On
my spiritual journey, I have realized the importance of inte-
grating many different modalities not only for me but for my
clients, as well. Energy healing, whether it is Healing Touch,
Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry, Reiki, or Therapeutic
Touchis all about vibrational frequencies. Underlying
prayer and intention -- we find vibrational frequency and
beneath the chemistry of essential oilsvibrational
frequencies as well.
How Can Essential Oils Aid in Self-Care?
Essential oils are the life-blood of plants. Just as we have
blood in our bodies that carry nutrients, oxygen and heat to
all the cells of our bodies, the essential oil in a plant fulfills
the same responsibility in the plant. These essential oils are
often antimicrobial in nature. They protect the plant from
invading bacteria and viruses, and help heal traumas.
Thousands of years ago, man first used living plants for food
and medicine. Somewhere in history, someone discovered
how to extract this living essential oil from the plants. Steam
distillation is the most common method used today - with
cold expression being used for citrus oils.
What About the Quality of Essential Oils?
An unsuspecting person might think that the Health Food
Store is the best place to look for quality essential oils and
that is actually the LAST place one should look. Why?
Because the processes involved in obtaining pure unadulter-
ated quality oil is very expensive and will be reflected in the
price. What is available in stores may only be perfume grade
at best. Perfume grade oils may in fact come from organic
plants but not necessarily be therapeutic quality. They may
smell nice but may have little or no healing quality to them at

all. In the United States there are no set standards. You can
have one drop of the real oil in a bottle with alcohols and
other extenders and still be able to put 100% therapeutic
on the bottle. Where can you find true therapeutic oils? You
will need to do your homework and search the internet. But
dont stop therecall up the providers of the essential oils
and ask some very important questions such as, do you
grow and distill your own plants? Do you use fertilizers and
pesticides? (These will poison the plants.) Is every single
batch of oils tested by using gas chromatography (a process
whereby every single compound is identified)? Do they abide
by the standards set by the French who are the masters in
the art of essential oil distillation? You may need to find a
friend who can direct you to the company with the highest
standards and who ethically is responsible for every bottle of
essential oil sold.
Using Essential Oils for Self Care
Essential oils can be used to support every system in the
body. There are specific oils helpful for the respiratory,
circulatory, muscular-skeletal, genitourinary, nervous,
endocrine, and reproductive systems. There are specific oils
helpful for the skin and to improve immune function.
Essential oils are lipid soluble and can penetrate cell
membranes. They have been measured to bring an increase
of 21% oxygen to the cells within 20 minutes of application.
This allows cells to function normally and release their
chemical toxins in an oxygen rich environment. Many essen-
tial oils are high in antioxidants; in fact, clove oil is the
highest antioxidant found in nature and is 10 million times
higher than blueberries, raspberries or even pomegranates.
Essential oils high in sesquiterpenes can cross the blood-brain
barrier. Can drugs do that? Some essential oils can relieve
physical discomfort and pain. Some can help combat the
spread of disease. In fact, many were used in ancient times to
counteract plagues of all kinds. Essential oils have the ability to
release emotional traumas stored in the limbic system of the
brain. Essential oils have been used to treat everything from
lice and warts to brain damage and cancer. Essential oils have
formed the medicine chest of people around the world for
thousands of years -- until we discovered in the 18th century
how to take apart an essential oil and mass produce certain
chemical compounds found within the oils. This, by the way,
was the birth of the pharmaceutical industry. Any essential oil
that has been doctored by man by either removing a compo-
nent or adding to it so as to improve upon nature, destroys the
therapeutic healing property.
Where is the research to back up these claims? Actually,
there is no money to be gained by doing research on things
that come from natureyou cant patent it. Fortunately, there
is substantial research to back up everything I have said in
this article. This research has primarily been done by
Europeans and particularly by the French. Some of the more
famous French doctors conducting these studies have
included Dr. Jean Valnet, MD, Dr. Daniel Pnol, MD, and Dr.
Claude LaPraz, MD. In a research summary produced by Dr.
Carolyn DeMarco, MD (Canadian) in 2006, a number of
essential oils were identified as important in destroying
disease-causing bacteria, molds and viruses.

What Are Some
Self-Care Uses for Essential
Oils Today?
We use essential oils as first aid for cuts
and scrapes, relaxation, to help prevent
colds and flu, pain management,
depression, to support immune function,
as a natural antibiotic, for restful sleep,
natural pet care, natural cleansing
products, to enhance nutritional supple-
ments and personal care products, and
to eliminate unwanted odors.
Essential oils are not just nice-
smelling additions to self-care. They
can be an integral part of keeping
yourself healthy. Educate yourself.
Learn how essential oils can improve
your health and well-being. As you
improveyour vibrational frequency
will rise and whether people are aware
of your changes or notat some level
they will sense your higher vibration
and will be attracted to your light!

As I reect on my journey over the past ten
years, I have to smile as I remember all the won-
derful people who have touched my life and have
helped me evolve. The instructor for my very rst
Healing Touch class was with one of Healing
Touch Programs Elders, Nancy Burns. I remem-
ber sitting there during the rst 30 minutes of
class, watching, listening and absorbing all the
energy information and I thought to myself; This
is what I am supposed to be doing with my life.
Energy work, and to this day Nancy continues to
bless me with her wisdom.
Healing Touch is the foundation of all the work and exploration I
have done since that beginning class. Working with Janet Ment-
gen, as my mentor, only helped facilitate my deep personal
growth and self discovery. Janet would say -- (maybe not these
exact words, but close) Healing Touch is the structure with
which we only begin our work. It is important to have a structure
so that we may expand on it.
Taking Janets words to heart, I delved into reading over one
hundred books, studied under many teachers of different energy
based and body centered therapies, and continue to embrace
each new learning experience with the eyes of a beginner.
As of late, I have spent time with Rudy Noel, who graciously
blessed Janet with the Mind Clearing and Hopi Technique that
are taught in the Healing Touch Program. Rudy reminds me of
this very thing as well -- We build from the basics and always
have techniques and tools to pull from our tool belts. Rudy
strives and has taught me to strive to never settle for a tech-
nique, but to continue questioning and developing ourselves
with a feverish desire to not only live from a place of pure love,
but to truly be that love in every moment.
To grasp a deeper understanding of myself and those with
whom I work, I have delved intensely into Mind Energy Body
Psychotherapy training with Carolyn Eberle. The most intense
part of Me-B training is exploring where trauma, illness, disease,
negative beliefs, unhealthy ego and core distortions are held
within the three systems - mind, energy and body. From these
realizations, how do we shift ourselves in all three systems?
We begin by tracking the energy system, tracking what the
mind and body are saying and discovering which of the three
systems holds the truth, then bringing all these systems in line
so that trauma, illness and any distortions may fully transform.
By living and working from the place of the Core Being - the
light which we all are in our purest form - we are able to em-
brace our dark and our golden shadow equally. Holding this
place for ourselves and assisting another to shift when they are
ready - is the gift in Me-B Transformation work.
So while on this path of self discovery, it is my passion to con-
tinue to learn and embrace what ts into my truth of how I heal
myself and hold a place of healing for all others. As a Healing
Touch Certied Practitioner, I embrace the teachings of Healing
Touch as my basis and the framework for how I work with cli-
ents. I bring myself to each client having the structure of a great
ethical practice, documentation skills and deepened knowledge
of self, and non-judgment of each client and all situations.
Blending all that I have learned and continue to learn, as a
healer, I embrace my own divine essence and feel extremely
joyful to be the vessel for others on this amazing journey of re-
discovering and remembering our true divine core being -- that
which is our true self.

Yesterday was my day off and the farthest thing
from my mind was doing the work of Healing
Touch. I enjoyed a lovely hand reexology treat-
ment, went to the chiropractor with my daughter,
had lunch and went to yoga with a girlfriend.
Then around 3:00 pm, as I followed my guidance to stop by
a restaurant and pick up my daughters pay check, I was not
aware that spirit was leading me to do the work. When I en-
tered the Huron House Restaurant the owner was on the phone
with 911 because a patron was in cardiac distress. I asked if I
could help and he said, Yes, go to the back of the restaurant.
The woman in distress was sitting up but appeared disoriented.
I asked for permission from her daughterto do energy healing
and proceeded to hold her shoulders, comfort her with words,
work up and down her spine and then hold the front of her
forehead and back of her neck. I continued to do Healing Touch
as we waited for the emergency squad to arrive but I became
acutely aware of the distress the daughter and sister were in. I
was also aware that their stress increased once the paramed-
ics arrived. I encouraged them to breathe deeply and stay calm
and just allowed them to talk.
We never know when we will be called on to do the work and
the wonderful thing is that our hands and open heart are always
present for us. May opportunities to do the work appear for us
almost on a daily basis. Keep asking the question, What else
is possible? I asked myself that question as I left the restau-
rant and drove to my webmasters who needed a DVD for my
website. Little did I know I would be doing the work again, but
in a different way.
When I pulled into her condo complex to park my car, there was
a 16- year old teenage girl yelling profanities at what appeared
to be her mother. It turned out that it was her boyfriends moth-
er. As I sat in my car and watched them scream at each other,
I held my center and remained grounded. The teenager had
dented this womans car with her purse. As the yelling intensi-
ed I grounded more and sent them peace. The teenager then
ran after this woman who yelled at me to call the police. Keep
holding your place of peace in the midst of chaos, I reminded
myself. The woman outran the teenager and the boyfriend per-
suaded the girl to leave.
When the police arrived, the woman told them it was just a
family disagreement between her and her son. This incident
reminded me of the chaos some people live in and how they
are not even aware of how to stay calm, speak respectfully and
communicate from their heart. I left and thanked the universe
for the opportunity to be present and peaceful.
I nally made it to my daughters soccer game at 4:30 pm, in
time to see the last half. They won 1-0. It was nice to stand on
solid ground, connect to the earth and have the sun shine on
me after the previous two incidents. How was your day off? Any
opportunities to do the work?
Today, I am back at work and it is quiet -- so far.

The enthusiastic new Level 4 apprentice
stopped me in the cafeteria before break-
fast on the last day of class.
Where is the Clown chakra?, she
asked. Some people said that you mea-
sure it here [she had her hand on her
head], and others said that it was here
[other hand near her clavicles] at the high
heart. Where is it exactly?
Well, its here at your upper arm - be-
cause thats the humerus, I replied. I didnt
understand at rst that she was serious. She
also didnt get the joke.
The clown chakra had been mentioned in her class the previ-
ous evening. Once I understood that she truly was having a
hard time understanding, I tried to explain in more detail.
In October 2007, I had the wonderful experience of having
Mary Ann Geoffrey as my Level 3 instructor. During the class,
she told a story about a student in a previous class of hers
talking about the clown chakra. As Mary Ann was talking, an
image came to me that I couldnt ignore for much of the rest of
that afternoon. In fact, it only left after I promised that I would
do something about it.
The weekend after the class, I went to a craft store to purchase
supplies, and shortly thereafter, Chakra Clown was born,
complete with chakra indicators and coordinating attire. I mailed
the doll to Mary Ann as a token of my thanks to her for all that
she taught me in class. I thought that perhaps she would nd it
funny and set it aside. Never did I dream that it would go further
than that, and was honored to read in her thank-you email that
she said she wanted to take the doll to future classes.
The following year, as I prepared to go to my Level 4 class,
there were several signicant and stressful changes in my life.
I realized that I needed some
humor to help me deal with
things, so I found a photo I had
taken of the doll, and made a
T-shirt with the picture on it. I
brought the shirt to my Level 4
class and wore it.

Students in my class, as well as in
the Level 5 class (which Mary Ann happened to be teaching at
the same location) were curious about the background story,
and several said that they would like shirts or dolls. I thought
about the requests, but truly didnt have the time to create the
dolls for everyone, and said so.
I did wind up creating two more dolls for people who have
been key gures in my journey toward certication. Each doll is
hand-decorated, and unique, as it is made with the person in
mind. It is a rather time-intensive effort and a gift from the heart.
However, before I journeyed to my Level 5 class, I did make up
a couple of T-shirts, intending to gift people with them. I was
honored when one was used as an altar cloth, so to speak, in
the Level 4 class that was meeting down the hall from us.

Bringing the shirts to Level 5 has indeed taken things to a
higher level (pun intended); my instructor, classmates and many
of the new HTPAs from the Level 4 class urged me - repeatedly
- to market the shirts. (Yes, I have copyrighted it.) I am slowly
coming around to that idea, as I had never intended Chakra
Clown to be anything more than a personal gift to those who
have touched my life deeply.
But how to explain this to a new Level 4 apprentice who wants
to know where to measure the clown chakra? Your clown
chakra is where ever you hold humor and joy in your body, but
Im not sure that a pendulum will measure its spin. It may be
best measured by how often and how sincerely you laugh.

I am writing to share my personal experience in
Port Au Prince, Haiti as a nurse and a Healing
Touch practitioner and instructor in late March
of 2010. I received an email in mid-February
and answered the call from the University of
Miamis Project Medishare seeking healthcare
professionals willing to help. I booked my long
ight and took off alone from Kailua-Kona to
Miami with a backpack and 92 pounds of tents
to give away, which I transported in a large
suitcase. I joined other nurses, physicians and
physical therapists who had volunteered for the
same week of duty. We came together and were
briefed in the Miami airport by a physician from
the university about what to expect at the tent
city, how to keep safe, rules and policies, includ-
ing how to learn what your job was each day. As
I boarded the charter ight to Port Au Prince, a
place about which I knew little and which I never
thought I would visit prior to the January 12th
earthquake, I wondered with eagerness how the
next week of my life would unfold.
I knew in advance I would be living in a shared tent in 100
degree plus temperatures with pesky mosquitoes, taking cold
showers, having one meal a day with no milk for a week, and
working long hours. Nothing, not even my recent ten years of
volunteering with the poor in Tijuana as a lay associate of the
Catholic order, Eudist Servants of the 11th Hour, had prepared
me for the wretched conditions and deep suffering of the people
and the devastation of the city of Port Au Prince (PAP). As I ew
into PAP I observed the deforestation of the mountains and the
exposed dirt that had slid down the hillsides during the heavy
downpour of rain.
University of Miami Project Medicare Haiti (UMPMH) is a tent
hospital located on the PAP airport runway. It was set up in a
week after the January 12th earthquake. During the week I was
there it housed more than 200 patients and 150 healthcare and
lay workers. We were instructed to provide the best care we
could with the supplies available and to keep in mind that we
should be practicing Haitian medicine. The tent hospital had a
pharmacy, a lab, a wound clinic that treated over 100 outpa-
tients a day, the rst ever Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Haiti, an adult and
pediatric inpatient tent, Emergency Room (ER), Intensive Care
Unit (ICU), Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), three Operat-
ing Rooms (ORs) available 24/7 and two conscious sedation
areas. Family members, if available, stayed with their loved ones
providing personal care and toileting. There were no screens
to place between patients so privacy was just not available.
Throughout the week, the patients and families frequently ex-
pressed their gratefulness for our coming and our help.
My assignment for the week was in the OR. My qualications
for this new-to-me position were -- I had completed a six-week
rotation in the OR as a nursing student in Nova Scotia in 1968;
in 1992-1995 I had supervised OR bone marrow collections in
my position as Assistant Coordinator of the National Marrow
Donor Program in San Diego; and most recently I had taught
perioperative nursing to Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) step-
up students in 2008.
My lengthy experience in nursing was a great plus as many of
the younger nurses were not familiar with some of the supplies
that were available for our use. For example, it had been years
since I had vented an I/V bottle by sticking a needle into the top
in order to make it ow. We had a shortage of nurses and every-
one pitched in to care for the patients and families. In the OR we
worked 14-17 hour days in hot tropic 100 + degrees of humid

weather with air conditioning that functioned sporadically. I also
did one night on-call. I had no idea I could still work that hard.
We saw many patients with crush wounds of limbs, performed
many amputations, and debridement and cleaning of limbs. In
addition, during my rotation, we completed a colostomy on a
2-day old child, revised a non-functioning colostomy on a child
who had been unable to eat for 16 days, did a craniotomy on a
motor vehicle accident victim, removed several blocked shunts
in children with hydrocephalus, debrided and grafted wounds,
did appendectomies, painful daily dressing changes on young
burn victims, mastectomies, and many plastic surgeries on
patients who had been deformed by the earthquake. Ours was
the best medical treatment hospital in the areas so we received
many add-on patients in the OR daily by helicopter and ambu-
lance from outlying hospitals and orphanages. I found a lady on
the back of a motorcycle who had a temp of 105 degrees and
assisted her into the camp. She was admitted and later diag-
nosed with malaria.
A huge supply tent, nicknamed COSTCO was organized daily
by a group of lay workers from Tennessee. The young people
who cleaned and sterilized all the OR equipment were a female
French Canadian and a male from Russia. A physicians assis-
tant from Denmark who had been at UMPMH for a few months
provided some continuity of care in the OR. Everyone pitched in
to make things work. Once when the Haitian workers were off
busy collecting the next patient, all the OR staff, including the
surgeons, helped to carry a heavy patient to the PACU.
After checking with a Haitian nurse about how it would be re-
ceived, I taught patients mothers and the nurses in PACU, Mag-
netic Passes Hands in Motion and other techniques for symptom
relief in the children. It was a wonderful experience as we sang
Frre Jacques together while trying to comfort their loved ones. I
was able to work with the anesthesiologists by doing HT to calm
the patients as they were put to sleep before their operations.
As four of us were changing the dressings on a young burn
patient under conscious sedation, the anesthesiologist com-
mented, What you are doing (HT) and singing Frre Jacques
seems to work better than the medications Im giving.
I saw deaths and I saw births. I saw misery and I saw miracles.
It was the best of times and the worst of times. I am still haunted
by some of my memories and dealing with them on a daily ba-
sis. I am practicing self-care with massages, Healing Touch and
daily exercise so that I can be ready to return soon. Leaving my
new found friends and coworkers was bittersweet but many of
us have stayed connected through Facebook.
Several of the young male Haitian interpreters speak Creole,
French and English and want to be nurses. I submitted a pro-
posal to teach a nursing assistant course for interested English-
speaking Haitians at UMPMH and eleven students have already

The need in Haiti is urgent, great and will continue to be so for
years. I am returning to Haiti in June. If you can, come, if you

it showed wisdom and foresight to ensure that
potential instructors, such as myself, have given
thought to the ethical ramications of what they
will be teaching as HT instructors. I felt gratied
because this provided a reason to move this
book to the top of my priority list of books to read.
I purchased the book when it was rst published
because it was something I had never seen ad-
dressed in such depth before, and this require-
ment validated the importance of the topic.
Now, after completing the book, my overall response is reso-
nance, and the satised feeling I get when I read concepts
articulated, especially for the rst time, in effective and mean-
ingful language.
As a member of my hospitals Ethics and Palliative Care Com-
mittees, I frequently read articles and discuss case studies
addressing ethical issues and concerns, and I am especially
intrigued by the challenges of medical ethics. This book ad-
dressed a segment of ethics that was totally relevant to my life
and practice as a Healing Touch practitioner, in a deep, specic
and practical way.I especially appreciated the attention the book
paid to the potential risks and benets of energy
work, which is sometimes presented as com-
pletely benign.
I feel a sense of responsibility for the probably 100 people who
have been introduced to Healing Touch under my watch as
Holistic Clinical Practice Coordinator, and this book validated
impressions and uneasy sensations I had encountered in
Healing Touch classes, felt in my own practice, or observed in
the practices of others. I have seen people eagerly embrace
the concepts of energy therapies so wholeheartedly that they
want to denounce the prevailing medical system as danger-
ous and obsolete, and offer energy healing to everybody in
their life. I have been in classes where intuitive and otherwise
caring people offer an unsolicited public analysis of what they
perceive as a weakness or emotional issue in another students
energy eld. Also, I have found myself feeling conicted about
charging a friend for a Healing Touch treatment, or blurring the
boundaries of colleague and practitioner. All of these situations
were addressed, either in the text or in the form of case studies,
which were especially eye-opening when they involved the legal
system or a loss of license. I can easily see myself using this
book as a resource to discuss these and other potential stum-
bling blocks as part of a group discussion during classes and
practice sessions, and plan to bring it to our next practice group.
I was attracted to the books title because the concept of Right
Relationship, which I usually attribute to Janet Quinn, acts as
a guiding framework for what I do and am as a nurse, a healer,
an energy worker, and a human being in contact with other
humans. By framing Ethics in terms of Right Relationships, the
authors add heart to their discussion of such topics as market-
ing and relationships with other disciplines. As holistic healers,
by Marian Long, RN, HTCP,

A Review of Creating Right Relationships
they also understand the importance of a right relationship with
oneself, emphasizing the importance of self-care, self-aware-
ness and a personal sense of honor. They enhanced the overall
discussion by developing the metaphors of the chakras and
archetypes, and citing the contributions of other healers like
Carolyn Myss and Donna Eden. I felt the discussion of potential
ethical and legal pitfalls using the chakra model was thorough
and effective.
I especially agree with the warning given by the authors that if
we, as Energy Healers, do not dene or regulate ourselves, we
will nd others doing it for us. It takes experienced energy heal-
ers to frame altered states of consciousness as positive healing
events, and to understand that spiritual and archetypal energet-
ic patterns can inuence both the client and the practitioner. It is
up to us to dene this work, rene it, and explain it to others.
I have long felt that among the many strengths of Healing Touch
was the fact that, from the beginning, it was developed by
nurses who understood and navigated the hoops of standard-
ization and certication. This foresight has given Healing Touch
a respectability that many other energy therapies are struggling
now to attain, and allows it to advance in hospital
systems and other institutionalized settings. Com-
mitment to integrity is so inherent in the Healing
Touch community and curriculum that in many
ways I feel this book is more of a refresher course
and commentary of how things generally are,
rather than a primer for something that is lacking.
Overall, I felt that the book delivered on what it set
out to do be a practical ethical guidebook for the
creation, establishment and maintenance of right
relationships with our clients, our colleagues, com-
munities, and ourselves. It is also a rich resource
for the conversation that energy therapists must
continue in order to be regarded as professionals
with something safe, effective and valuable to offer.

Adopting a Wild Horse:
A wild horse guided me to energy medicine and healing. My
experience involved an 8-year old wild mustang I adopted,
whom I called Tonopah, since he had been gathered from wild
herds in Tonopah, Nevada. I thought that a wild horse would
fulll the dream I had of a connection to the raw foundation of
nature, spirit and humans. However, the adoption of Tonopah
was frightening - especially to see how he was handled by the
Bureau of Land Management wranglers. To see the fear he had
and the instinct to be free tore my heart - I felt guilty for wanting
to have him as my horse. He did not want to have much to do
with me for several months -- always running away to the other
side of the arena.
Learning About Energy and Connection
with Others:
It was not until I started working with Tonopah under the guid-
ance of a gifted horseman, that I came to understand energy.
With regard to horses and humans, this man knew a connection
when he saw it and knew that it took energy awareness to nd
that connection. It was a lesson I needed to learn.
One day, at a horsemanship clinic, I was walking into the round
corral to be with Tonopah when he bolted and ran to the other
side. I felt dejected and rejected and took the whole thing
personally. Then my trainer said, Ellen, you need less energy
to connect to Tonopah. You come into the arena way too big for
him and it scares him. Horses are different. It is not about the
task so much as it is about the relationship. You can not help a
horse feel safe and have him/her think of you in a leadership
role unless you know how to moderate your energy back and
forth with him.
It took a long time for me to understand what it meant to come
into the corral big and small. A wild horse is very sensitive
to the slightest amount of energy and intention in a human. I
had to nd small or actually quiet and to be present with
Tonopah. As I did, I could see that his response to me changed.
I could see he felt safer and I felt my heart open more. I did not
understand vibrational energy at that time. As I look back, I real-
ize I was learning to adjust my vibrational energy so that I could
develop a relationship with Tonopah. Horses are truly living
biofeedback sentient beings - honest, reliable and consistent.
An Agenda Versus a Plan or Being Present and
Aware in the Moment
There is a lot of discussion in the healing arts of the impor-
tance of being present with self and clients. I thought I knew
what that meant. One day I received a big dose of reality while
working with Tonopah during a horsemanship clinic in Arizona.
I had already spent several years working to help heal a tragic
situation with Tonopah that happened with another trainer. I was
making progress - or so I thought. I had gotten a saddle blanket
on him several times and he seemed pretty relaxed about it. Be-
fore I arrived for my week at the clinic I made a pact with myself
that I would saddle Tonopah this week. I began the week with
what I thought was a good idea, an agenda for what I would do
with Tonopah for the week.
We arrived in Arizona and Tonopah was turned loose in a huge
arena. When it came time to gather him in - he was not inter-
ested in coming over to me. It took almost half an hour for me
to catch him. This wasnt good -- it showed me that our
connection was not going well. He would rather look out over
the desert at cows then come over and be with me. I put him
in his corral for the night with his other horse pal - still thinking
about my preplanned agenda of how I would put the saddle
on him the next day not being mindful that we had an energy
connection problem.

A Wild Mustang...
The next morning, when it came time for my session in the
round corral, I walked in with Tonopah in tow after spending a
few minutes trying to catch him in his smaller pen. I wrote all
this off to the fact that he was still basically wild. I went through
the process of moving Tonopah around the round corral in
both directions, controlling his speed. He had no ropes or at-
tachments. I thought Harry, my trainer, would be proud of how
Tonopah and I were working so well together, but his silence
said otherwise. I then proceeded to throw the saddle blanket
on Tonopah and pat it showing that Tonopah was ne with
the blanket. I went over to the rail and picked up my 32 pound
saddle and walked back to Tonopah. I was reminded by Harry,
Ellen, you are not to set that saddle on Tonopah unless his
head is soft and low and his body is relaxed. Any sign of ten-
sion and stress and the saddle stays away.
I stood on Tonopahs left side, held his lead line in my left hand
and hovered over his back with my (heavier and getting heavier
by the second) saddle. I was just about to set the saddle down
on his back when Tonopah threw his head and ew away to his
right - galloping as fast as he could to the rail of the round corral.
I dropped the saddle and felt the tears well up in my eyes. I was
sure everyone would feel bad for me at how hard I was trying.
Then I heard Harry ask, Ellen, are you going to have a pity
party for yourself when you just left your horse? The shock of
his statement was so dramatic that I looked up and immediately
pointed out that I was still standing in the middle of the arena
and Tonopah had left me. What did he mean? Well, Ellen, the
truth is that you left him rst. Since you were not present and
aware of him in his state he had to leave - it was instinct and
survival on his part.
What!? I am standing in the middle of this pen and he is over
there - I just dont get it.
Ellen, you had an agenda to saddle Tonopah. It was not his
agenda. You may saddle him eventually but it will not be a
partnership until you let go of your agenda and pay attention
to the state of your horse. He was scared. You wanted to put a
saddle on him. He left. You felt bad for yourself. Now think about
it. You cant work on an agenda with a horse. Yes, you can have
a plan, but not an agenda. Your agenda did not account for
Tonopah in his state or need.
I walked up to Tonopah and put on his halter. I led him out of
the round corral - ashamed and embarrassed - but still not fully
comprehending what it meant to have an agenda versus a plan.
I put Tonopah in his corral and stacked my saddle and blanket
in the trailer.
That night I called my husband and wailed at what a terrible
day I had working with Tonopah. I told him of the incident and
the feedback from Harry about me mentally and emotionally
leaving rst so Tonapah had to leave for his own protection. Do
I do this to you? I asked Carsten. There was dead silence. I
was stunned. Apparently I do and my husband is too kind to call
me on it in the same way that Harry had. I cried a few tears that
evening - my personal pity party.
The next morning I awoke early and pulled on my walking
shoes. After giving hay to Tonopah and my other horse, Shiloh, I
set out for a short walk that turned into about six or seven miles.
I thought long and deep about what it meant to stay present
and aware. I had never thought of my relationship to Tonopah
as a partner. I would have to learn how to stay aware, pres-
ent and compassionate while being his guide and leader. I felt
a little stronger, but sick in my stomach by the time I got back
from my desert walk.
When it was my turn to be coached by Harry, I went over to
Tonopahs corral and walked in quietly - focusing on the intense
love I had for this horse. I fully expected him to stay on the other
side of the 60 X 25 corral - but he quietly walked over to me
and held his head in such a way that I could easily slip on the
halter. I felt my heart soar and a tear well up in my eyes. This
had never happened before.

A Wild Mustang...
We headed to the round corral. I did not stop at the trailer for
the blanket or the saddle - the heck with all that - I wanted to
partner with this magnicent and wonderful horse and if I never
saddled or rode him then, so be it. We walked into the round
corral when it was our turn. Harry and the other participants all
let out a deep breath and said, What happened to you two?
Things are different! I did not realize it was that obvious. Harry
commented, Ellen showed up for her horse. Good for her - now
they can work together.
Tonopah continues to teach me energetic connections. Some-
times I come home with a lot on my mind and walk out to the
horses in this state - holding a halter and ready to catch a horse
to go for a ride. If I neglect to shift my heart to be in the pres-
ent moment - the horses move away from me in the two acre
turnout and do not usually want to be caught. So in the process
of walking to them, I make a shift in energy and spirit setting
an intention to connect. If I come into the turnout quiet minded,
intentional, heart focused, doing no harm and moderating my
vibrational energy - the horses come over and compete for who
will go for a ride with me that afternoon. Tonopah is the most
sensitive partner. There is no faking it with him to this day and
we have been working with each now for over 10 years.
A wild horse taught me the true meaning of energy and rela-
tionship. He helped me transfer this learning
to my teaching and energy practice.

Two years ago I asked a group of Level 3
students, What else do you need to enhance
your Healing Touch skills? The result is this
Advance Practice Workshop.
Gathered on a beautiful spring weekend in April were 30
magnicent healers from Southern Ontario who traveled
from Windsor, Kitchener and Toronto to the workshop in
London, Ontario. Throughout the weekend we held the
question, What else is possible? .
It was an honor to have Healing Touch Program Director,
Cynthia Hutchison, travel from Boulder, Colorado to be
the instructor. As one participant stated on her evaluation,
Cynthias compassion, understanding and guidance were
key to this learning environment. I appreciated her open-
ness and true interest in each participant.
As the coordinator of the Advance Practice Workshop,
I want to thank my core group of healers from London,
Ontario who kept pushing me out of my comfort zone over the
last two years with persistent requests for this course. There are
four key words that describe what this weekend was about --
Comfort Zone, Community, Connection and Compassion.
COMFORT ZONE: In stepping outside my comfort zone, I
learned how to feel comfortable coordinating a more complex
workshop. From an organizational standpoint, there were more
details to handle from my normal workshops such as accom-
modations, travel directions, massage tables, registration
logistics and whether people were coming for one or two days.
Comfort Zone is a metaphor for the healing journey that all of
us are on. Sometimes we have to break through our stuff to
realize that it was binding us and preventing us from realizing
our full potential.
COMMUNITY: There is nothing like a community of like minded
people coming together in love and compassion to share, ask
questions and grow. We began the weekend with a two hour
Social Gathering on Friday night. This gave the attendees an
opportunity to meet Cynthia, to ask questions about Healing
Touch Program and to connect on a social level. Everyone
enjoyed the time together and especially enjoyed being able
to reconnect with friends and colleagues they had not seen for
awhile. It set a great tone for the weekend workshops.
CONNECTION: These workshops are like family reunions
without the drama. There is an openness conducive to speaking
freely about energy healing. This is not always available in our
day to day lives. In this openness we are free to be who

we truly are and share the love of this work. More experi-
enced practitioners learned from younger practitioners as
they relived the excitement of their own journeys - enabling
them to fully appreciate how far they have come. Younger
practitioners heard the stories of the more experienced
to realize that they know more than they thought they did
-- and that there is always more to learn. How wonder-
ful! Mentorship in all its forms was evident -- instructor to
instructor, instructor to student, student to student, certied
practitioner to certied practitioner, certied practitioners to
Level 4 students and so on and so on.
COMPASSION: What a gift Healing Touch has brought
to all our lives - allowing us to honor the divine within us,
as well as, the sacredness of this work. The compassion
shared during the treatments and during conversations
was evident throughout the weekend. As one participant
stated in her evaluation, This work is a gift. Excellent
weekend. I will remember this experience all the days of
my life. Another stated, WOW! This was amazing and so
informative. It has been awhile since I have participated in
the HT community. Im back!!
In summary, it was a fabulous experience to coordinate
the Advance Practice Class, host Cynthia in our commu-
nity and watch the level of condence and compassion for
the work grow among all the healers in attendance. This
workshop helped to infuse healers with new techniques,
new excitement, and new connections with other healers
- encouraging everyone to move forward with their healing
practices.
The only question that remains is, What else is possible?
to build our community of healers.
