SUMMER INTERNSHIP
Ducere Technologies (May'14-July'14)
LBW Detection using Open Source Computer Vision-Developed an application for an umpire camera, using OpenCV to detect the
pitching point of the delivered ball to assist the umpire. The application was coded in C++.
For the application various video stabilization through RANSAC matching and homography matrix applied.
Various Computer vision techniques like color detection, Background Subtraction through Mixture of Gaussians and contour
mapping were used to detect the point of pitching of ball in the video segment.
A simple rule based algorithm was developed to check if the point of pitching lies in the wicket to wicket line.
The application gave an accuracy of 91.66% under controlled test conditions.
PROJECTS
Facial Emotion Detection (May13-June13)
An application was developed using Open Source Computer Vision to classify facial emotions as neutral, sad and happy in real time video
The application took video from the web camera, the feed was then checked for presence of frontal face using Haar Trained data.
Implemented Support Vector Machine algorithm which trained on a data base of 37 Indian faces having different facial expression. It
trained on features extracted using Gabor Filter. This algorithm classified the frontal faces into neutral sad and happy.
The application gave an accuracy of 70% under controlled test conditions.
