Worked under the supervision of an RN providing bedside care, treatment and clinical
documentation for patients on Telemetry floors. Handled medication administration, dressing
changes, IVs and all other aspects of nursing care. Facilitated admissions, discharges and
transfers; prepared chart notes and other documentation; and participated on interdisciplinary
team.
Assessment
Performed total patient assessments including neurologic, cardiovascular, respiratory,
gastrointestinal, genitourinary, IV site/line, NG tubes, and urinary Catheter.
Planning
Educating patients and their families on disease process, medical- surgical procedure, and
broad aspects of therapeutic regimens, including medication and pain management
techniques.
Attended in-service training on IV and PICC management
