Celebrate My Drive Campaign

During National Teen Driver Safety Week, our high school is participating in Celebrate My
Drive

and wed like to invite your support! Ardrey Kell High School is participating in the
program because teen driver safety is important to us and our school will have a chance to win a
$100,000 grant from State Farm

! We could also win one of two hometown concert events by a

chart-topping musical artist.

But we need your help.
You can make a safe driving commitment once a day, every day, between October 15 and 24,
2014. The more safe driving commitments we make, the better our schools chance of winning
$100,000 and hosting a concert.

Its simple:
Log onto celebratemydrive.com
Indicate you want to support Ardrey Kell High School
Commit to drive safely!
You can also invite your friends and family to get involved or share on Facebook
facebook.com/CelebrateMyDrive.

Thanks for your support! Remember, 2N2

: 2 eyes on the road, 2 hands on the wheel.

AK Tailgating Event for Teen Driving Week

Car accidents are the leading cause of death for U.S. teenagers. Here are some tips to stay safe
on the road:
1. Always wear a seatbelt. According to last springs CMC survey of Ardrey Kell drivers
leaving the school parking lot, only 89% of drivers and 70% of passengers were wearing
seatbelts. The importance of seatbelts is often overlooked, but choosing to buckle up is a
simple choice that can make a big difference.

2. Be careful of distractions that passengers may cause. Having just one teen passenger in a
car increase the risk of crash by 48%. It is important to stay focused on the road,
especially with friends in the car.

3. Avoid cell phone use whenever possible. Talking on a cell phone in a car makes a driver
four times as likely to crash. Texting makes a driver eight times as likely to crash.
Drivers dont have to take these unnecessary risks in order to speak to someone right
away.

To celebrate ten safety driving week, CMC is holding a tailgating event at this Fridays game. All
are welcome.

Attention Seniors: NEW Transcript request and payment process
After requesting your transcripts on Naviance, please be sure to print the "confirmation" page.
