MIS- An MIS can be defined as a combination of people, computers and procedures for collecting and organizing information

documenting, processing and communication. Every individual looks for information that is relevant to her duties. Thus,
information is people oriented and varies with the nature of people's work in the organization.

What is the difference between data and information in computer terms?
Data is raw material for data processing. Data relates to facts, events and transactions. Data refers to unprocessed information.
Information is data that has been processed in such a way as to be meaningful to the person who receives it. It is any thing
that is communicated.

The difference is that, DATA are raw facts, numbers, symbols, alphabets which is process to get information whiles
INFORMATION is data that has been processed into useful or meaningful to the user.
