Grids from layout- fixtures are placed along row, but shelf space not
effectively used.

Fixtures -end caps, shelf, point of sale
Flooring not used. It is used for keeping the stock.
Signage- few signages are used. Used as tag on shelf and some above the
shelf

Geographical segmentation: targeting customers from local area and
neighbouring.



Varieties of products are offered. Including grocery items, cosmetics, dairy
products etc.
Category management
Shelf space is given to the different items. Category wise space allocation.
Categories like:
Spices and pickles
Hair care, cosmetics
Tea and coffee
Dairy products
Toiletry products


Customer service: helpers are present in the store. If any of the customers need
help or any guidance about the product helpers provide help.


About the store location: Store is located in the Mapusa market. Good site
selection as its in the main market area, they get good footfall. Bus stand is
close by. Problem area is parking. No proper parking space.
Merchandising currently adopted by Bardez Bazar, they offer variety of
products. But the display of these products is not proper. Pricing stimulates the
sales. Physical presentation not effectively done. Decision about products is
based on demand.

To understand the satisfaction we considered factors like display, price,
customer service, quality of products. Also reasons for purchasing products
from that particular store. For loyalty we considered revisit, recommendation
about store to others. And also complaints and feedback about store.

From the survey we came to know that they have good loyalty rate. 51% said
they would like to visit the store again. Main reasons for purchasing product
from bardez bazaar is price followed by availability of products. Quality of
products is good. Customers are satisfied with the quality. They maintain a good
inventory level as 63% said that products are in stock.

Suggestion:
Shelf space should be effectively used. As currently it is not managed properly.
Products should be replaced as soon shelf space becomes empty. Store
atmosphere can be changed. Soft music so that customers feel refreshed. Space
which is for the customers movement is used to keep stock. This is disturbing.
Stock should be kept only in warehouse. Category management needs to be
improved. As two categories get mixed and then it is confusing for customers.
Proper allocation of shelf space for different categories based on their demand.
Signages are not visible and some are not clear.
