are all group ed around this area and are intersp ersed w ith acco m m odation blocks,

C oncept of C ollaborative
Industry Based (C IB) Education
C ollaborative Industry Based Education is m ost contem porary noble concept to integrate the com ponent of
industry in to the education. C IB Education is just not a form ality of giving industry exposure to students; rather it is a
full-fledged industry experience to students w ith studies. C IB education enables students to obtain the basic and all
functional know ledge of the industry in w hich they w ished to w ork.
The purpose of every education is to obtain factual know ledge and em ploym ent. Study incapable of providing
suitable em ploym ent and know ledge to a student is fruitless. O ur present educational system hardly contains
industry com ponent in it. In this com petitive environm ent the difference betw een education and industry is w idening
day-by-day. This creates difficulty for young alum nus to adjust them selves in industry. Som etim e it took m any years
to transform them in thorough professionals. In the absence of proper guidance m any students get distracted from
the actual goals to proceed w ith their career, and choose unknow ingly & un-purposely different profession from
their basic qualification. This education to profession dropout, yields w astage of resources provided by
G overnm ent & Private Sector in addition to the m ost significant years of study of a student's life.
C onsidering the field of engineering w here nation is struggling w ith the deficiency of engineering professionals
despite of having thousands of engineering colleges in the country. W hy? D ue to directionless efforts of present
education system m ost of the young engineering alum nus shifts them selves to som e other industry, unw illingly. The

Education & Training
A Social Responsibility
In order to expand the accessibility, equality , inclusion and qualitative im provem ent in the H igher Education,
through intellectual teaching for utilising India's hum an resource potential to its fullest and to prom ote the cause of
education w ith integration of industrial training/ internship/ research w ork to create excellent em ploym ent
opportunities for the students, Shobhit U niversity, M eerut, U .P. India have resolved to conduct C ollaborative
Industry Based (C IB) Part-Tim e Regular Education Program m es w ith Industry & Education Resource support
exclusively from C ouncil for M inority D evelopm ent (C M D ) to w ork together tow ards a com m on goal w hich is
em pow ering the youth of India through education and know ledge by help in finalizing C ollaborative Industry
Based Internship Points (C IIPs) and Internship/ Training/ Research W ork for the students and enrolling students into
the C IB Education program m es of Shobhit U niversity from India. C ouncil for M inority D evelopm ent (C M D ) w as
created w ith a vision to all round developm ent of M inority C om m unity especially to educate people in industry
environm ent. C ouncil for M inority D evelopm ent have an edge in fast em erging field of technical, vocational, arts,
com m erce, science, m edicines, pharm acy, m edia, education, m anagem ent & skill based education. The C ouncil
for M inority D evelopm ent vision is to be a unified institute, acknow ledges universally as leader in developing
innovative w ays of teaching and learning by contributing strongly for the sustainable developm ent of all
com m unities especially the M inority C om m unity and assisting the Third W orld C ountries in im proving their
academ ics, training and research Program m es.
C M D is consistently putting efforts to provide solution from elem entary level to m aster level program m es thus
becom ing the leader in developm ent of industry oriented quality education and training program m e in state-of-the-
art areas, establish standards and be the countries prem ier institution for training & education dom ain w ith
recognized, certificate, diplom a & degree.
All of this gives the C M D an edge in the conduct of various courses, designing new ones, innovation and
redesigning, keeping in m ind the changing industrial requirem ent.
reasons m ay be m any, like lack of direction for a proper start, dissatisfaction from industry, m isunderstanding of
w ork etc, but only 5% of the engineers leave the field because of genuine reasons. Rem aining 95% leave the field
because of the reasons, like they do not know how to start or they do not know how to adjust in industry or they do
not have basic understanding or skills to w ork in industry. Every year m ore than 50% of the engineering graduates
leave their respective field, i.e. the education to profession dropout of engineering filed is m ore than 50% . This loss
is in addition to the m anual hours w asted to educate them for their precious 4 to 6 years. This process can also be
observed in other educational m odels like Arts, C om m erce, Science, IT w here industry interaction is negligible.
O n the contrary in field of M edicines, C hartered Accountancy and Architecture, education to profession dropout
ratio is not m ore than 5% . W hy? Yes, just because of the real tim e training w ith studies. All m edical students are
required to attend com pulsory internship w ithin their study curriculum . This industry exposure is quite sim ilar to the
real life situations w hich they require to face, w hen they w ill w ork as an independent professional. Also, they get
am ple opportunities to w ork under highly specialized senior professionals. The result itself show s the success story
of this education m odel.
C onclusively, w e are 95% sure that a student w ill choose the sam e profession in w hich he/she has studied if, they
get a chance to undergo internship w ithin studies com pare to less than 50% surety of a student to go in the sam e
field of studies for the program m e w here industry interaction is not the part of academ ic curriculum .
C IB education is an effort to m ake such an educational m odel w hich is sim ilar to the industry integrated m odel like in
m edical education. C IB education w ill be given to students w ith real industry w orking experience. This serve dual
purpose; the student w ill obtain precious w ork experience in addition to the academ ic know ledge. C onclusively,
C IB education is the only tool w hich can fulfill the dem ands of m odern industry and serve country in a better m anner.

W hat is Part tim e Regular
C IB Education ?
Part Tim e Regular C ollaborative Industry Based Education is m ost contem porary noble concept derived by
C ouncil for M inority D evelopm ent (C M D ) to integrate the com ponent of industry in education. C IB Education is just
not a form ality of giving industry exposure to students; rather it is a full-fledged industry experience to students w ith
their studies. C IB Education enables students to obtain the basic and all functional know ledge of the industry in
w hich they w ished to w ork.
W hat is the difference betw een D istance Education and Part Tim e Regular (PTR) C IB Education ?
W hat is the difference betw een Regular education and C IB education ?
Part Tim e Regular C IB Education is m ost con-tem porary noble concept w hich integrates education and industry. H ere students
are w orking in the sam e industry of the program m e they are pursuing. The biggest advantage of C IB Education over distance
education and conventional education is that students are getting theoretical and professional know ledge at the sam e tim e of
study only. W here as in conventional and distance education program s, Students are required to spend 3-4 years in obtaining
sim ilar level of professional know ledge after their studies. So it is clear that C IB Education students are m ore professional
com pare to the students of conventional/distance education. The students of C IB education proceed fast in profession.
Shobhit U niversity has resolved to conduct the Part-Tim e Regular C IB Education program s related to arts, social science,
education, journalism and m ass com m unication, com m erce, param edical, pharm acy, science and engineering and other
courses w ith the industry and education resource support from C M D to help in finalizing C ollaborative Industry based Internship
Point (C IIP) and in internship/ training/ research w ork for the students and directly enrolling students in university from India.
W hat are the advantages of C IB Education over C onventional Education & D istance Education ? Part-Tim e Regular
H ow C M D is conducting PTR C IB Education program of Shobhit U niversity ?

teaching and self study of a student. Students are not
provided any opportunity to undergo any Industrial/
professional training or apply the theoretical basis of their
studies in practical life.
This type of Education som etim es proves w astage of tim e
for m ore than 50% of students, as students leaves the
field after study.
In Annual m ode C lassroom interaction and practical 5hrs
x 175 days (annually) = 875 hrs (Annually).
In Sem ester M ode C lassroom interaction and practical
6hrs x 180 days (annually) = 1080hrs (Annually).
Regular Education

C orrespondence Education.
PT Regular Education w ith real-tim e industry exposure.
PTR C IB Education is very easy to pursue as student
perform s everything in real industry as a part of their
academ ic curriculum .

/Professional exposure as a part of curriculum .
PTR C IB Education is a com bination of classroom teaching,
self study & its real-tim e practical applications. Students are
provided an opportunity to apply all their theoretical
know ledge into practical field w ith the help of industrial
/professional training.

record of successful generation of m ore than 95% students
in the sam e profession.
