with informatic knowladge as a driver in our company we don’t us his
knowladge right.
Next, controlling manufacturing processes and draw conclusions which can
make short time in production and can reduce production costs.

3.
Difference between manufacturing and services

-productivity is more easily measured in manufacturing operations than services.

-quality standards are more difficult to establish and product quality is more
difficult to evaluate in service operations.
-services involve more direct contact with the customer than manufacturing
operations.
-manufacturing operations can increase and decrease finished goods inventory
levels in response to change in customer demand patterns.

Differences between manufacturing and services operations management

The distinction is becoming blurred. For example, today production based

industries also offer services (car manufacturers offer repair service) and service
industries offer products (BT offers directory on disk). Banks describe their
services as “products”. Still, differences exist in the following:

a) production and consumption: materially productive operations are usually

separated from consumption and consumers are remote in time and space from
production while services are consumed as soon as they are produced. Still,
services may also include support operations which are also produced and
stocked rather like a manufacturing operation (e.g. printing empty forms for a
banking service or processing paperwork generated by a bank in batches during
off-peak hours).

b) On line/off-line: services operating management can be separated in on-line

or off-line activities.
On-line activities are done at a time which suits customer and therefore imposes
certain constraints on the resources of the operating manager. Off-line activities
can batched and done when or where resources are available, rather like
manufacturing.
c) In services, the most expensive resource is people.

4.Suppose you have a project to install a new restaurant. What are the main
operations issues you have to think of?

Firstly we should think about the place were our restarurant will be.As we
know as more people as more money. We can build or rent a building but we
shuld think what we want to do. Maybe we don’t need so many people but
we go to the way of quality that mean we can build our restaurant near to the
highway and makeing fast foods per 1euro or we can build our restaurant
somewhere in the forest above the lake and giving our customer a venison
what is expensive and of course we will be have less people. Secondly, when
we will be have a building we have to make a decoration and think about
what we want to serv. Next aspect is connected with marketing and
advertisement and promotion.
Of cource on the way we have to do lots of thinks connected with low
( registration,OSH, etc.)
