The Gancayco Balasbas & Associates Law Offices was organized by the late Justice
Emilio A. Gancayco soon after he retired as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of
the Philippines after an illustrious career with the Government spanning a lmost forty
years, twenty of which were with the Judiciary. He invited young but highly
experienced and energetic lawyers from various offices to join the Firm as partners.
Together, they recruited and accepted well-qualified lawyers to be their Associates.
The Firm was formally inaugurated in 1991.
