2. Based on pupils answers teacher explains about
domesticated and wild animals.
3. Teacher also mentions that animals can be kept as pets.

While writing
1. Pupils are shown the picture cards (see the pictures)

2. Teacher gives some cues about the animals.

3. Pupils then get into groups of 4. Each group chooses an
animal as their pets and discuss why they like that
animal.

b. It is furry.
c. It lives in a hutch.

dog

b. It is easy to be fed.
c. It is playful.

4. Now teacher distributes tasksheets. Pupils read the
information about the animals and complete the blanks.

chose one of them.

below.

b. Your birthday is just around the corner. Your father
brought you to a pet shop. Based on the information
given, which animal would you choose as a pet? Give
reasons for your choice.
I would choose the dog as my pet because it is a loyal
animal. It lives in a kennel. I already have one in my
house so I can use it to keep my pet dog. This pet
feeds on dog food and bones. It would not be a
problem as a pet shop is just near my house. The
price is only RM 13.00. My father has enough money
to buy this pet as my birthday gift.
Feedback
1. The groups take turn to present their ideas to the
class.
2. After presenting, teacher gives them feedback.
