* 1. What type of business or organization would you like to work in as an intern and why?

I would like to work as an intern in the hospital because I want to make a difference in the atmosphere and the
quality of its service. I want to learn more about the hospital environment. I want to be more efficient with my time.
I would also like to give back to the community by interning and also by interning; I will develop many new skills. I
want to intern at the hospital because it gives me a sense of personal satisfaction because helping others is what I
want to do.
2. What career do you intend to pursue upon graduation and why?
Nursing will allow me to interact with patients to help them physically and emotionally. Whether my duty involves
performing vaccinations for them or helping them in the restroom, I will always stand by them throughout their
recovery. Patients satisfaction is important, since most people have the impression that the hospital is an
unwelcoming and lonely institution. I want people to leave knowing that the staff and volunteers truly care about
them. They need to be treated as humans, not just someone to be poked, tested, or scanned. Calling them by their
name, looking them in the eyes and communicating to them about their options so the patients can be involved in
their health is a great way to make a difference. Being able to bring even a glimpse of happiness to any individual is
a rewarding experience.
3. What do you feel are your greatest strengths?
I feel that my compassion, perseverance and empathy are my greatest strengths.
Despite my financial situation, housing circumstances, and transportation problems, I managed to pass all my
classes and commit time for volunteering and taking other extracurricular such as CERT. After I graduated high
school, I left home because I wanted my mom to not worry about supporting me. She had it tough being a single
mother and with a new born baby, I did not want to burden her any longer. I left and became self-sufficient. Finding
a roof I can live under was difficult; I moved three times in one year and lived in the living room for a few weeks. I
moved due to financial stability and because of that, it was very difficult for me to progress in school or health. I
worked countless of jobs, doing the most strenuous of jobs for as much as six dollars an hour in order to pay for my
phone bill, a working car, gas, instant noodles, and a place to live. Although surviving on my own is tough, I am
thankful to my mom for raising me all these years.

Through Sage, I can find people who support me and people I can provide support to. Sage also provides exposure
to real life experiences in any field. Hopefully, I can find others in similar position so I can hear their solutions and
letting others know of my story. By being part of Sage, I can give back to the community by volunteering. Sage
provides assistance in classes, and they have opportunities to enhance leadership, and presentation skills. This is a
great opportunity because it provides me with a family that can help each other and to find people who are interested
in the same field and it looks great on my resume.

necessity that I need in order for me to continue on with my education. It will provide me funds so I can buy food
and books. Itll also provide me the materials for me to be able commute to school. Ill be able to have more energy
to pursue my career and Ill be able to get the nutrients that my body been craving. I also hope to gain a paid
internship in the medical field in order to add on to the many achievements I have in order to pursue my career in
