1. SERVICES DESCRIPTION
1.1 Dedicated Internet Bandwidth is a Symmetric Dedicated Internet link connected
using Wireless or Fibre optic. This Bandwidth is provided in Multiples of 1 Mbps.
Each Dedicated Internet bandwidth is provided using equipment supplied and owned by
Zantel throughout the contract duration. Each Dedicated Internet connection comes
standard with 5 Usable Global IP addresses and access to monitor Bandwidth utilization.

1.2 Branch Connectivity is secure data connectivity between two or more locations using
MPLS VPN L2 or L3. This service offers Symmetric bandwidth in multiple of 512 Kbps
connected using Wireless or Fibre optic. Lower bandwidth can be provided using CDMA
EVDO Domain. CDMA EVDO Domain uses secure L3 VPN. This technology uses Zantel
CDMA modems that are integrated to the MPLS core network to give mobility at the
same time maintaining security.

5. CHARGES, FEES AND PAYMENT TERMS
5.1 Where the service is activated by Zantel on any day of a month other than the first day, the
Customer shall be charged a pro-rata portion of the monthly fees in respect of that month.
5.2 In the event the Customer fails to pay the monthly charges at any time when such payment
becomes due and payable, Zantel shall be entitled to suspend its services without notice.
5.3 Zantel reserves the right to take any legal action it deems necessary for the recovery of
unpaid charges/fees at the Customers expense/cost.
5.4 Zantel shall invoice the Customer monthly and the invoice shall be accepted by Customer as
formal invoice if sent either by Zantel authorized staff, Courier, Scanned and attached on an
email to the Customer.
5.5 The Customer shall pay Zantel through any of the following methods; direct bank transfer,
direct debit, cheque, or through Zantel authorized staff.
5.6 All current charges are payable within 30days after the invoice date.

8. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
8.1 General Terms;
a) The Connection consists of the internet connectivity provided by Zantel, terminating on
a Network Termination Unit NTU. All equipment supplied by Zantel shall remain Zantels
property and shall be taken when the contract is terminated. Usage of system resources
and bandwidth by the Customer via the connection is subject to laws of Tanzania, and
the Customer will not put the resources to illegal use or bring disrepute to Zantel or its
affililiates. Should the Customer permit such illegal and disreputable use, Zantel may
suspend or discontinue the service until such time that proper use of the service is
assured. During this time the Customer will be liable for the full cost of normal recurring
charges during the suspension period. The Customer agrees to fully indemnify Zantel
for all claims arising from the actions of the Customer.
b) Zantel shall not be liable for delays or failure in performance in any of these conditions
and its commitments when caused as a result of Force Majeure, government
interference, or failure by third parties and connected carriers or warehouse services.
c) Zantel will provide network access between its premises on the service profile chosen
in section 2.
d) Payment is due in full for the first period including VAT, before the use of the
connection and the beginning of all billing periods afterwards. Payment default is
subject to network suspension, until such time as when the account is paid in full. The
Customer not utilizing the service when its available doesnt exempt him/her from
paying.
e) Zantel may:
i. Temporarily suspend for the purpose of repair, maintenance or improvement, part
or Zantels entire network.
ii. Give or update instructions regarding the use of the connection, which in Zantels
reasonable opinion are necessary in the interests of safety, and to maintain or
improve the quality of Zantels service.

iii. Vary the technical specifications of the connection for operational reasons.
However, Zantel undertakes that prior to carrying out any activities as described
above; Zantel will give as much notice as is reasonably practical circumstances and
Zantel will use all reasonable endeavors to restore service as soon as possible.
f) Zantel is not liable directly or indirectly for any loss of business, or loss of data could
occur to the Customer when operating the Connection.
g) Zantel reserves the right to refuse service, modify terms prior to delivery of any service
or refuse credit terms prior to contracting.
8.2 Duration
This Agreement shall commence from the delivery date of the connection and continue for
duration of 24 months. Renewal of the Agreement shall be automatic until Customer terminates
the Agreement as per clause 3; however Zantel reserves the right to renew the Agreement under
new terms or not to renew at all.
8.3 Termination
The Customer may terminate this Agreement by giving Ninety (90) days written notice of his
intention to terminate or payment of three (3) months invoices in lieu of notice.
8.4 Re-Location
If relocation of the service is required to an alternative address within the same POP, transfer
fees apply. If Customer relocates to a location where Zantel cannot serve, this Contract will be
deemed as terminated and the above cancellation clauses apply.
8.5 This Agreement shall be governed by and be construed in accordance with the Laws of the
United Republic of Tanzania and all disputes shall be settled by courts of competent
jurisdiction.
9. CUSTOMERS SIGNATURE
