GLACIAL VOLUME
Recreate ice formations with soft
and fluffy yarns in ruffled
stitches.
ENGINEERED WAVE
Look to new technologies to
inspire regular repeat textures
like tuck stitches.
SPIROGRAPH
Recall mathematical and linear
games with fine and loose surface
threads.
ARCTIC WARMTH
Replicate snowy landscapes with
super-soft yarns in cushiony
textures.

Humankind and technology are reconciling, permitting the redevelopment of the human body with
integrated science. Innovation is finding inspiration in nature, where organic engineering provides
the basis for manmade design. Glacial landscapes evoke an icy range of cool greys and blues.
Indigo, navy and black create freezing depth while cream and clay add a touch of warmth to this
otherwise polar palette.

The delicacy of freshly fallen snow will
yield frothy layers of full -needle ruffles in
fine gauge nylon blends. Complex
honeycomb structures recall glacial
formations in a palette of icy hues. Use
soft and fuzzy yarns to achieve powdery
textures.

Intricate and complex folds take cue from
origami and architecture. Stiff jerseys are
cut and sewn while variegated rib patterns
create a strict linear effect. Apply
horizontally knit ottoman tuck stitches and
computer-engineered pleat stitches to
create this textured surface style.

A gentle and tactile aesthetic will emerge
with the use of soft tucks and folds.
Jacquard tuck stitches and hand-manipulated
surface structures will be used to achieve
these undulating repeat patterns.

Rapid prototyping and 3-D printing are
paving the way for creative innovation in
the field of textiles. Spurred by these high-
tech developments, regular repeat patterns
will be created using soft ruching and tuck
stitches.

Ridged squares echo a technological
aspect in regular and repeated
formations. Squares will be enunciated
by colored stripes, one color separation
and nylon thread along with mini
stripes or dropped stitches.

Cabling will be reinvented this season,
merging the traditional techniques of
the past with modern, high-tech
capabilities. Using sleek yarns and off-
white hues transforms this old-fashioned
trend into a futuristic fashion essential.

New fibers will become more visible in
the marketplace with the use of clear
nylon threads and plastic textiles.
Recycled plastic bottles spun into yarns
will become a viable ecological solution
and also become more sophisticated
with new technologies and processes.

Clean, sculptural shapes will be
achieved using sturdy jersey knits and
short-to-
medium pile boucl. Think icebergs and
glaciers for vast, dimensional forms with
a sleek and imposing silhouette style.
