The Effectiveness of the Application of

Education Realistic mathematics Indonesia on the Fractions learning
Grade III in Sidoarjo Tanggulangin SDN Randegan, thesis, Course
primary school teacher education faculty of teacher training and
educational sciences of the University of Muhammadiyah. Supervisor:
Muhammad Faizal Amir, M. Pd.

This research has been done on the SDN Randegan Tanggulangin about
the effectiveness of the application of realistic mathematics education learning in
fractions of a class III. As for the background research behind the existence of the
fact in the SDN Randegan Tanggulangin that learning math is used by teachers
not markedly. Teachers still rely on the conventional approach to learning, so that
students are less enthusiastic in following mathematical learning, student response
was less positive. From the test results that are given most of the students do not
meet the KKM. Goals to be achieved in this study is to measure the effectiveness
of PMRI content approach guides the class III. As for indicators of effectiveness
can be outlined as follows, namely: the ability of teachers in managing learning
approach effective, activity of PMRI students effective, positive student response,
and student learning outcomes in complete classical completely.
This research uses descriptive method, with the subjects of research grade
III-B SDN Randegan Tanggulangin consisting of 24 students. The technique of
data collection is by direct observation, interview, question form, documentation,
as well as tests. The data analysis done which describes the ability of a teacher in
managing learning, student activity consisting of 5 aspects, as well as presenting
data on the question form response and results of student learning.
Results found in this study: (1) the ability of teachers in managing learning
math with fractions of PMRI content approach simple votes effectively; (2)
student Activity effectively and be at the ideal time span; (3) positive student
response; (4) Student Learning Outcomes are thoroughly classical. From the
results of research that has been done there are 21 students who complete
individually and three students who do not complete. So the completely of
classical learning achieved by percentage of 87.5%, whereby the provisions of
completely of classical learning was 85%. Thus learning math with fractions of
PMRI content approach to class III in SDN Randegan Tanggulangin is said to be
effective.
Key words: effectiveness, PMRI and the fractions learning
