Personal Statement of Salvation and Call to Ministry
I was raised in a Christian home and from an early age my parents taught me biblical
truth. By the time I was six years old I knew the major Bible stories very well, but my heart
was unchanged by the knowledge I had. During the summer of 1994, the Gospel was clearly
presented during Vacation Bible School by our pastor, and I asked to speak with him more after
class. While speaking with the pastor outside of the classroom situation, he again presented the
Gospel clearly and I repented of my sins and believed in Christ, entering into a lifelong
relationship with him. The next Sunday at church I walked down the aisle to announce my
decision before the church. Within a few weeks I was baptized as a public symbol of my death
to the flesh and my redeemed life in Christ. As I continued growing in the faith, God worked
through many situations to turn my heart toward vocational ministry. I acknowledged this
calling to ministry when I was in eighth grade, but I did not fully accept this as my vocational
calling until later in high school. After I accepted this calling and oriented my life toward it, God
has blessed me with peace about my calling and opened many doors in this journey.

Doctrinal Belief
I believe in God the Father, who created all things and is the sovereign over the universe,
in Jesus his only begotten Son, who came as the perfect and sufficient sacrifice for sin, dying on
the cross so that those who repent and believe may live in relationship to him, in the Holy Spirit,
which indwells believers as our helper in daily obedience to God and sanctification. I believe the
Bible is Gods holy, inspired, and inerrant word to man. I also am in agreement with the Baptist
Faith and Message 2000.
