The Universities and Colleges may engage the services of motivated in-service and retired
teachers who volunteer themselves for this purpose in the concerned subjects. Wherever possible,
the services of research Associates or brilliant postgraduate students could also be utilised for this
purpose.
(c) Co-ordinator/Incharge
One of the senior faculty members may be appointed as Coordinator of the Remedial Coaching
Programme, who will be responsible for maintaining coordination between different
groups/teachers, to ensure effective implementation of the coaching programme, in addition to
actual teaching in the classes.
(d) Classes and Menial be charged from each student as a token of their involvement at the
beginning of each year. In case of needy students, it may be waived. The fee can be taken in 2 or 3
installments from students willing to pay the full but cannot pay in one lumpsum.
(iii)Remedial Coaching may be organized on working days, after the regular teaching hours of
the college are over, or before the starting of classes, whichever is convenient for the students
requiring help to come up to the standards of the classes they another and to invite help from their
peer group who are good performers. A great deal of voluntary effort should be promoted, Only
some necessary input may be done by remunerating teachers of post graduate students.
(v) At least 50 hours teaching be done in an academic year far each subject or paper of 100 marks
and in case of the subject in which practical are involve 50 hours for practical. After every 10
hours of teaching an examination be organized.
(e) Attendance
The university/college will be required to maintain attendance registers for all selected students.
Subject- wise results of tests, or other evaluations, may also be maintained. Special attendance
register far teachers be maintained and payments to the teacher be made on the basis of actual
teaching. This record should be available for scrutiny as and when called. The students, who do
not attend classes regularly should be terminated as self-discipline and motivation are required for
engagement in coaching classes. On the other hands, if coaching classes are not well handled, lack
of involvement of students will be apparent. Hence the students should do periodic evaluation as a
feedback to improve the methods.
5. REMUNERATION
A remuneration at the rate of Rs.150/- per hour per subject to thee teachers and Rs.75/- per hour to
postgraduate students/research Associate could be paid for theory classes and Rs.60/- and Rs.30/per hour respectively far practical. The payment may be made monthly.
The teacher appointed as Coordinator will be paid an honorarium Rs.2000/- p.a. payable to
him/her if he/she also undertakes remedial coaching classes under the scheme.
