For you to become successful in life, there are certain rules you ought not to break. Life itself
is governed by principles, and its those principles that we embrace that determine whether or
not we will attain greatness. After looking at the lives of certain great men, I was able to come
up 1 rules that high achievers never break. If you obey these rules, you will become a high
achiever too.
1# &on't compare your li(e to others and don't )udge them*
you have no idea +hat their )ourney is all about#
!top trying to be someone else. "e all have our own distinct purposes in life. #e yourself
always and become the best version of you. $ou are original, not a counterfeit.
,# &on't act the +ay you are (eeling# -nstead. act the +ay
you +ant to (eel#
%here is a saying that action precedes feeling. If you feel sad, act like you are happy, and you
will eventually become happy. &igh achievers get disappointed a lot because they fail many
times, but since they are highly'optimistic people, they see advantage in adversity and make
the best of every situation.
3# /ake peace +ith your past so it +on't scre+ up your
present#
$ou need to forgive yourself for every mistake you have made in the past. &igh achievers
dont go around beating themselves up for the mistakes they have made. Forgiveness is the
first step to progress and only those with a strong heart can forgive themselves and those who
have hurt them. (ove forward today and stop dwelling on the past.
$# &on't ans+er ads that promise get0rich01uick schemes
because it +on't be you +ho gets rich 1uick#
#elieve me when I say this) apart from bonan*as, lottery, promos or %+ shows, there is
nothing you can do in this world that gets you rich in a ,iffy. If it sounds too good to be true,
then it most likely is.
"# 2ou can't do everything yoursel(. so get help along the
+ay#
&igh achievers are people of great influence. $our level of influence in most cases determines
your level of success. (ake meaningful relationships and help others get what they want.
6# &on't envy +hat others have* you don't kno+ ho+ they
got it#
%hey say that not all that glitters is gold. %he truth is that you dont know how he got what he
has or the price he had to pay in e-change for it. %hink about this before you envy somebody.
3# -( you can't say anything nice. don't say#
&igh achievers dont talk ,ust because they have to say something. they talk because they
have something to say. (ost successful men are very careful with their tongues/they hardly
speak out of turn or when it is unnecessary. Learn to talk less and listen more.
4# Be com(ortable only outside o( your com(ort 5one#
0o something every day that scares you, and break your own records each day. %his is the
gateway to tremendous self'improvement. It is the secret of high achievers.
6# -( you are going to )ump o(( a bridge. make sure you
kno+ ho+ deep the +ater is#
Always determine the price you have to pay for every decision you make before making that
decision. (any great men today are college dropouts, but they knew what they wanted and
the understood the implications, so they went all'out. !o before you 1uit your ,ob or 1uit
college, and before you ,ump off that bridge, ask yourself this very important 1uestion) 2how
deep is the water34
17# hange only +hat you can change and let go o( the
rest#
$ou cant change everything you want to change. 5o matter how important it may be,
sometimes its better to do your own part and leave the coming generation to do theirs. %hings
we cant change, if we persist, eventually change us.
11# 8hat others think o( you is none o( your business#
"hat matters most in life is your belief in yourself. 6eople will always talk about you, and if
they dont, then you are probably not worth much. Ignore whatever anyone has to say about
you and hold firm what you know and what you believe.
1,# Never test the depth o( the river +ith both (eet#
%his is very important. 0ont put all your eggs into one basket. you may never recover from
it. !pread out your risks in life. %here is no way to succeed without taking risks, but its wiser
and safer to take calculated risks.
13# Honesty is a very e9pensive gi(t# &o not e9pect it (rom
cheap people#
%his is one of "arren #uffets guiding principles. I have learned this lesson the hard way and
my e-periences are not very pretty. %he sooner you learn this, the better. 0o not e-pect too
much from people/only a few men have that virtue called integrity.
