Feb 2010 The silicon coating that was applied to our high voltage insulators has performed
very well. We have experienced no issues with the coating. We de-energized our
incoming services last fall for preventative maintenance activities & had the
opportunity to clean the insulators for the first time. The coating still appeared to be
in good shape. We are very happy with the insulator coating.

P.S. We will be replacing three of our 138 KV transformer bushings this
Spring/Summer. Would Silchem be available to coat these insulators prior to them
being installed?

Feb 2000 The tests were completed in June of 1997 for the purpose of determining the
effectiveness in preventing high voltage flashovers. The Siltech 100HV passed all
tests and was approved for use at Florida Power & Light Company. Applications
using Siltech 100HV started in December 1997 and we continue to use this product
with success.

Mar 2010 In 2001 KCP&L awarded a contract to Silchem Marketing Inc. to install their Siltech
100HV insulator coating on 161 kV bushings, insulators, coupling capacitors and
lightning arresters located in the switchyard. A total of 137 insulator surfaces were
coated utilizing Siltech 100HV. The Technical Services crew worked in a very
professional and safe manor during the application process following all safety
practices.

After a period of close to 10 years since the application of the Siltech 100HV
coating, the coating is performing well and as expected. We have not detected any
visible signs of degradation of the coating.

Siltech 100HV is approved by KCP&L for insulator coating applications. Silchem
Marketing Inc. has provided us with excellent installation services and product
quality. We recommend them without hesitation.

salt air, fog, and agricultural production. During much of the calendar year sufficient
rainfall is absent to naturally remove these accumulated contaminates. In an effort to
reduce the amount of resources and time required to manually wash the problematic
stations STEC, in 2003 ran a trial by coating twelve of the most problematic stations
using Siltech 100HV RTV silicone high voltage insulator coating.

Since the application of the coating in 2003 the desired goals have been attained.
There have not been any additional manual washings of these stations and
contaminate caused outages have been minimized. STEC is completely satisfied
with the results achieved by the application of the Siltech 100HV product and would
not hesitate using in the future for similar applications.

Kansas City Power & Light (KCP&L), a subsidiary of Great Plains Energy had a section of
switchyard at the Hawthorn power plant that was subjected to significant amounts of
contaminates as a result of a rebuild of a coal fired unit. The switchyard section we were
concerned with connects two 70 Mw gas fired combustion turbines to the grid.
As part of a preventative maintenance plan it was decided that the switchyard location would be
an excellent site to utilize Silchem Marketing Inc's Technical Services and their Siltech 100HV
RTV insulator coating product.
In 2001 KCP&L awarded a contract to Silchem Marketing Inc. to install their Siltech 100HV

Within the Gulf Coast area of South Texas Electric Cooperative, Inc. (STEC) operating
area several substations which are subjected to heavy contamination from salt air, fog,
and agricultural production. During much of the calendar year sufficient rainfall is absent
to naturally remove these accumulated contaminates. In an effort to reduce the amount
of resources and time required to manually wash the problematic stations STEC, in
2003 ran a trial by coating twelve of the most problematic stations using Siltech 100HV
RTV silicone high voltage insulator coating.

The twelve stations were most exclusively comprised of 69kV, 24.9kV station post and
cap & pin insulators. One of the twelve included a 138kV auto transformer and
associated equipment. The insulator count breakdown by voltage was approximately;
138kV - 14, 69kV 745, and 24.9kV 1150. The steel frame work of one station was
also coated to appraise the coatings effectiveness on steel with beginning signs of
corrosion.

Since the application of the coating in 2003 the desired goals have been attained. There
have not been any additional manual washings of these stations and contaminate
caused outages have been minimized. STEC is completely satisfied with the results
achieved by the application of the Siltech 100HV product and would not hesitate using
in the future for similar applications.

Dec 2008 Hub River Power Station located in Pakistan operates in an extremely harsh
environment with salt laden prevailing winds, high humidity and low rainfall. Silchem
Marketing Inc. provided their Siltech 100HV RTV silicone high voltage insulator
coating and a crew of Service Technicians attended site to clean and apply the
coating. A total of twenty four 500kv insulators were coated over a period of six
days.

The coating has performed exceptionally well and has not displayed any signs of
tracking or degradation to date. Since the application there has also been no
experience of electrical flashovers taking place.

electrical insulators with an advanced substitute to silicon grease used previously. Silchem
Marketing Inc were selected in 2003 to supply their coating for the insulators in the 500kV
outdoor substation. Silchem Marketing Inc. provided their Siltech IOOHV RTV silicone high
voltage insulator coating and a crew of Service Technicians attended site to clean and apply the
coating.
A total of twenty four 500kv insulators were coated over a period of six days. The coating has
performed exceptionally well and has not displayed any signs of tracking or degradation to date.
Since the application there has also been no experience of electrical flashovers taking place.
