ELEMENTS OF THE SOCIAL PRACTICE.
Social Practice of the language: Way or patters of interaction with communicative purpose
linked to cultural situation (environment).
Competences: abilities, knowledge, values. Activities to solve problems.
Competences through social practice of the language with communicative purpose.

3. Corporal (no verbal)
Linked to cultural situation (environment).
The level of the social practice depends on the specific competencies. This mean the same social
practice in different levels.
The teaching purpose articulates the doing with, knowing about and the being through the
language. Determinates the achievements activity (Product).
All the Social Practices are divided into three environments:
1. Familiar and community: Close, well known, routinary.
2. Literary and ludic: Literature aspects, songs, poems, texts, games, etc.
3. Academic and educational: Formal aspect of the language.
Types of the contents:
1. Doing with the language: communicative actions, involve the 4 skills of the language.
Interact with others. All the actions.
2. Knowing about the language: involve learning about grammar, increasing vocabulary ( The
linguistic aspect)
3. Being through the language: Its about activities and values. The goal is to increase the
opportunities for the students to share their knowledge and experiences.
When I plan my classes I will find out activities to include the three contents.
Assessment : (qualitative) Must be formative, global and continuous. It can be by monitoring,
learning and reflecting.
Product: Guides is our vehicle with stages that integrates the Doing with, Knowing about and the
Being through the language.
Achievements: This is the most important part. The Expecting Learning Outcomes.

CYCLE 1 : To raise students awareness about the existence of the language different from their
own and to get them acquainted with English.
CYCLE 2 : To acquire the necessary knowledge to understand and use English in order to
recognize, understand and use common.
CYCLE 3 : To develop specific competencies particular to the social practice of the language that
enable them to understand and use English to carry out simple, everyday communicative
activities.
CYCLE 4 : To consolidate their proficiency in English in basic communicative situations, in which
they understand and produce, in general way, oral and written texts about different topics.
How many social practices are there?
A. 10 for each cycle.
How many specific competencies are there?
A. 10 for each grade. 100 in total.
How many products are there?
A. 10 for each grade = 100
How many social learning environments are there?
A. There are 3 : Familiar and community, literary and ludic and academical and educational.
How many types of content are there?
A. There are 3 : do with, know about and be through the language.
What is a specific competency?
A. A complex and articulated configurations of the doing with, knowing about and being
through the language to perceive the formal aspects and functions of language within
social life.
What is a product?
A. The product guides, is our vehicle with stages that integrates the doing with, knowing
about and being through the language, to get the expecting learning outcomes.

General purpose of the NEPBE
A. To get the necessary knowledge to engage in oral and written social practices of the
language to interact with and non-native English speakers by means of specific
competencies in different environments to satisfy basic communication needs.
What is a social practice?
A. Patterns or ways of interaction with a communicative purpose linked in a cultural situation.
What do you understand for assessment?
A. Group of actions aimed at getting information about the students performance in order to
intervene at different moments (before, during and after) in the teaching learning process.
It has a formative function.
Its global, continuous and formative.


TEACHERS ROLE
Planner: Decide the product (my guide) Designs activities that articulate the do, know and be.
Guider or leader facilitator: Model, what they need. Ask to do, to speak, to investigate. Provide the
instruments. Allow the students to participate or provide ideas.
Monitor: Checking, observing, etc.
Assessor: Check about the work. If the students know the lesson or not.
Rapport builder : creates the environment.
