The Clars Foundation is a
non-profit organization whose
main aims are the fight against
profound hearing loss and offer
medical cooperation in Third
World countries in the ORL
field.

Foundation
attends the needs in Emergent
countries, and at the same
time provides scholarships to
doctors with no financial
resources, since 1997. Offers
instructional
courses
in
Emergent Eastern Europe countries,
Asia,
Africa

Latinamerica.

The Clars Foundation, for


years has been conducting its
mission in the fields of audiology, speech rehabilitation,othorhinolaryngology, phoniatrics,
facial plastic surgery and oral
surgery. This labor has been
materialized in many parts of
the world, including India,
Rumania, Republic of Moldavia,
Ethiopia, Senegal, Liberia,
Cameroon and Gabon, with the
donation of medical supplies,
essential life-saving medicines,
and needed medical equipment
which otherwise would not be
available, and providing free
medical care and surgeries to
people in need, as well.

The Barraquer Foundation was


founded in the year 2003 by
Prof. Joaquin Barraquer and
Drs.
Rafael
and
Elena
Barraquer. Its main objective
is the diffusion of ophthalmology and become universal in its
most humanitarian aspect.
Among its sphere of action
stands out to facilitate financial and assistance aid to
patients in need at Third World
countries.
The
Joaquin
Barraquer Research Chair in
Ophthalmology offers support
to ophthalmology investigations, award scholarships in the
field of ophthalmology and promote The Eye Bank for the
Treatment of Blindness.
The Barraquer Foundation has
collaborated jointly with the
Clars Foundation at several
humanitarian expeditions in
countries such as India, Gabn,
Camern and Senegal.
Other projects are
planned for next year..
