For Negative time we use the schema - TM04

For Positive time we use the schema - TM00

PE01, so that you wil get an idea.

TM00, TM04, TM02, TM01, TQTA these are the standard SAP Time evaluation schemas to valuate the
employees attendance/absences in time management, and send the time data to payroll.

TM00: evaluates the time data of employees that has been recorded at Time Recording System,
comprises the actual working times entered as clock times and full day records, it's mean positive time
management. we have to download the time events(entries) from time recording machine, and we need
to upload into SAP R/3. and time management status is "1"

TM01: evaluates the time data of employees for whom only exceptions to the Work Schedule are
recorded.(entered as clock times and full day records to record only exceptions)

TM02: evaluates the time data of external employees and their hours recorded. mean will generate the
for the directors, sales persons, because of they are always going to outside, they could not attend in
office, for them we have to use TM02 and maintaining the attendance infotype(2002), it will capture the
data from attendance infotype. TMS is "8"

TM04: evaluates the time data of employees as per daily work schdule. the data will read the work
schedule. TMS is "9" or "1", with this schema we can generate the positive and negative time mgt.

and onemore schema is TQTA ; it will generate the only absence quotas

and extra program is RPTQTA00.

Schemas in Time Management

Following are standard SAP Time evaluation schemas to evaluate the employees
attendance/absences in time management and send the time data to payroll.

1.TM00 Time Evaluation with Personnel Time Events (For Positive time
management).
Time managemetn status is 1 (1 Time evaluation of actual times) in IT0007 for a personnel
number to be processed in the TM00 schema. It evaluates the time data of employees that
has recorded at Time Recording System/PDC and classify the actual working times entered as
clock times by comparing them to o the planned work schedule in the daily work schedule. To
determine overtime in schema TM00, time worked before the start of planned working time or
after the end of planned working time is counted as working time.

2.TM01 Time Evaluation for Work Schedule Deviations.
It evaluates the time data of employees for whom only deviation to the Work Schedule are
recorded. Time managemetn status is 1 in IT0007

3.TM02 Time Evaluation for External Services Management
Time managemetn status is 8 (8 External services) in IT0007.It evaluates the time data of
external employees and their hours recorded. IT will capture the data from attendance infotype.

4.TQTA Activate automatic accrual for time evaluation
Used to create quota entitlements. Using this schema we can update the IT2006. Time
management status is 7 in IT0007.

5.TM04 Time Evaluation Without Clock Times (For Negative time management &
Positive time management ).
Time management status is 9 or 1 in IT0007. We can use this schema to process attendances
and absences that specify a number of hours only, rather than concrete start and end times. Only
planned hours and minimum daily working time are evaluated from the employee daily work
schedule.

Criteria for Selecting a Standard Time Schema

Following are Criteria for Selecting a Standard Time Schema

1.Time evaluation results
Time wage types and time balances on a daily basis: Time evaluation with the time evaluation
driver RPTIME00 allows you to form time wage types and time balances on a daily basis and
manage time quotas.
Time wage types to calculate gross wages: Employee time data can also be evaluated in HR
payroll. The payroll driver RPCALCx00 can generate the time wage types which are used to
calculate gross wages.

2.Method of recording time data
Recording time data methods are
1.Record actual times at time recording terminals.
2.Enter time in the Time Management infotypes.

3.Volume of time data recorded
1.Recording employees actual times or 2. Recording exceptions to the work schedule

4.Form of the recorded time data
Type of the recording time data in the R/3 System as clock times and/or as a number of hours.

5.How overtime is calculated and approved

Calculate over time
1.Total working time of an employee exceeds specified number of overtime hours ( Eg: 8
Hours)
2.Overtime begins after x number of hours on a particular day( Eg: Daily after 5.30 PM) and
after y number of hours in a particular week(Eg: More than 40 hours in a week)

Approve overtime
1.All overtime worked should be approved
2.Overtime should be approved separately for individual employees
3.The employee is not permitted to work more than x hours of overtime over a given
period(for
example not more than 8 hours over time in a week)
4.The employee is only allowed to work overtime at certain times, for example, between
5 pm and 8 pm

How to execute a Time Management Schema?

Time Management Schemas can be executed using the report RPTIME00- Time Evaluation
Driver. This program processes time data according to time evaluation Schema selected. Time
Management Schema defines sequence in which the time evaluation steps will be processed.
Transaction code to access the report is PT60 directly or by using transaction Se38 and then
providing the report name for execution.

The SAP Time Management module is one of the main sub modules which manages all Human
Resources time management processes that involves the time recording, absence & attendance
calculation, time valuation of employees works etc.

Types of Time Management

Two types of Time Management are
1.Positive Time Management
2.Negative Time Management
There are 2 method of time recording are available
1.Positive time recording : Actual times are recorded.
This method completely records all actual times, i.e. all transactions such as actual working
times, absences, etc.
2.Negative time recording : Only deviations from a work schedule are recorded.

Time Management data includes:
Daily working hours of employees
Absences (Casual leave, annual leave, Maternity leave, etc.)
Time-related payments (overtime, meal allowances, shift allowances, etc.)
Absence quotas (accumulations, deductions, and corrections)
Absence quota compensation for unused absence quota balances

Time Types
Time data (attendances or absences) is stored using time types.Time types are stored in HR
Master Data
For example :Time-related Payments = Time type 2000 to 2499, Absences = Time type 2500 to
2999

Methods to Record Time Data
You can use a variety of systems and methods to record employee times in SAP R/3 Time
Management. Following are few commonly used methods
Time recording systems-Swipe in & swipe out system
Online time recording systems by time administrators
Cross-Application Time Sheet (CATS)
Employee Self-Service (ESS) or Manager Self-Service (MSS)
Touch screen systems
Third party system/No Sap (Legacy) systems through a interface to the R/3 System
Online time recording systems by employees

Time Management Status (TMSTA)

Time management status is the link between time management and payroll. It determines how an
employee's time data should be evaluated in payroll (whether an employee participates in time
evaluation, and if participates, which form).
The feature to default Time management status is TMSTA.
The TMSTA feature is used to create the default value for the Time Management status in the
Planned Working Time Infotype (0007).

The following are possible values of TMSTA feature:

0 - No time evaluation
1 - Time evaluation - actual times
2 - Time evaluation - PDC
7 - Time evaluation without payroll integration
8 - External services
9 -Time evaluation - planned times

Time Schemas & TMSTA:

TM00 Time Evaluation with Personnel Time Events -TMSTA = 1
TM01 Time Evaluation for Work Schedule Deviations - TMSTA = 9
TM02 Time Evaluation for External Services Management -TMSTA = 8
TM04 Time Evaluation Without Clock Times -TMSTA = 1
