B. Lesson Proper
1. Motivation
Have you heard about the landslide in Cherry Hills Yes Ma’am.
Subdivision in Antipolo City? What do you think was Soil erosion/
the cause of the tragedy? Landslide
When does soil erosion occur?
2. Presentation
Today, we will read a selection entitled “Protect Forest
and Plants.” But before that, I want you to read the following questions
in the board. Upon reading the selection find the answers to this following question.
2. Generalization
Guide the learners enumerate and define the parts of the paragraph.
1. The topic sentence. This is the main idea of the paragraph. It is often the first sentence of
a paragraph and is the most general sentence of the paragraph.
2. The supporting sentences. These are sentences that talk about or explain the topic
sentence. These sentences are more specific.
3. The concluding sentence. This may be found as the last sentence of a paragraph. It can
repeat the main idea or just make a comment about the topic.
IV. Evaluation
Identify the main idea and other parts of a paragraph.
V. Assignment
In a 1 whole sheet of pad paper write a short paragraph on how to protect nature through your own ways.
