electronic governor to ensure smooth
control and fast response to load
transients. All Wrtsil Auxpac generating
sets are designed to be installed resiliently
to the ships hull. The resilient installation
method enables easy installation and
alignment of the generating set within the
vessel. The advantage over conventional
mounting methods is that it notably
reduces the structure-borne noise
transmitted from the generating sets to
the ships hull, thus improving onboard
comfort levels.
The new Wrtsil Auxpac 16 generating set
delivers up to a maximum of 735 kWe for
auxiliary power generation. This powerful
output, together with its compact design,
gives it an outstanding power-to-space
ratio on the market. The pre-commissioned
standard package offers excellent reliability
to ensure the availability of electrical
power in sufcient quantity as and when
needed. Wrtsils energy efcient engine
technology minimizes emissions to make
environmental compliance easier.
TECHNICAL ADVANTAGES

from the lowest LFO viscosity of 2.0 cSt to an HFO viscosity of 700 cSt
(at 50 C). The engine is also able to use low and ultra low sulphur fuel
oils (<0.01% S) as per the standards set by authorities for fuel oil used
in emission controlled areas.
ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE
The engine is fully compliant with IMO Tier II requirements, and
when tted with exhaust gas after treatment solutions reaches Tier III
