As you can see, all ten of the people I asked were within the age bracket of 14-18 years old.
This help the magazine as I know the age in which to aim the content of the magazine and
make it appropriate and significant to those ages.

As you can see, 60% of the people I asked were male as appose to the 40% who were
female. This means I know how to near enough split evenly the content of my magazine
based on their response and it is because of these I have an even grasp on what different
people want in terms of the magazine content.

3. What are your interests? What magazines do you read, music do you listen to, and what fims
and tv shows do you watch? And would you be intersted in reading about these types of
things in the college magazine?

Out of the people I asked, 4 of the 10 said that they dont read magazines. One person I
asked said they like to read kerang magazine becasuse they also like to listen to a lot of rock
music and other genres of that nature. Two people said they like to sometimes read
Playstation magazine as they like games and are interested in reading about games and
gaming in general. The rest said they do sometimes read magazines and that these were
everyday lifestyle and gossip types of magazines. On the music front , I found that people
listen to a lot of different types of music , one person listened to EDM ( or Electronic Dance
Music) , one person like listeing to rap , one like rock , three people like to listen to allsorts of
music and couldnt specify in particular because of it, whilst the other four of the people I
aksed said they most listen to and enjoy pop music. All the people I asked said they like
watching somesort of action movie at somepoint such as The Avengers series and Gardians
of the Gallaxy , but also had some interest in in romantics and comedies also. Everyone I
asked said that yes they would like to read about things like these in the college magazine to
an extent if it found a small place in the magazine.

4. What Is your lifestyle like? Do you go to gigs/festivals, do sports/exercise, what do you like
to eat, and finances(do you have a job or are you looking for one) to be able to pay for things

Financial wise , I found that 6six of the ten people have jobs and earn money from that to be
able to pay for things. The other four said they dont have jobs and said it would be nice to
have some form of job advertisment within the magazine. Four people also said they do
quite often go to and attend gigs and different festivals. Three people said they play sports
and other activities in order for exercise. And dispite this , three people said they love pizza
and eat it on regular occasions and the other seven said they dont have any specific founds
they enjoy to eat a lot and generally enjoy and eat anything.


5. What are your attitudes towards issues/events/things that actually effect you personally?

When I asked people what their attitudes towards issues and events aswell as things that
effect them as a young person/student , six of the ten said things dont particularly bother
them at all. I also did however get a couple of people who said that they dont like how
young people and students get messed around with what they can and cant do expecially
with the education system and how we are made to stay in it for longer and do more
education in general, and because I asked someone who is a year younger and will be going
into A levels in a years time, is concerned with the fact they will be stuck with courses for 2
years after the AS is being scrapped as they understand it. A couple others were effected by
the recent events with ISIS in the middle east and more recently by the couple murdered in
Thailand , and found it sad and scary that on of them actually came from the same collage
they now study at. From this I found that some people were effected by some big events
around the world and with things that do actually effect young people such as them so some
inclusion or stories like these may be wanted in the magazine.




6. What attracts you to a magazine? What would attract you to a college magazine (colours
and images)

Tying in with the results of the previous question , somebody said that they sould be
attracted to the college magazine and other magazines by big stories that interest them such
as previously mentioned. One person aid they are just simply attrected to magazines that
show something they like and are interested in and would wanna read about. Two people
said they are atracted by and are interested inv bright, eye catching colours and good colour
combinations. Two people also said that they are drawing in by things such as objects or
people that they want to know about and read about in a magazine. I also had some
suggestions from people that they are atracted to and would like to see a magazine with
offers with it such as freebies or give aways. As a result of this question , I found that people
would like to see a magazine with offers such as freebies or give aways , aswell as a
magazine with good colour combinations on the cover which may include bright or eye
catching colours and articles on popluar people that people want to know about aswell as
big intersting stories.

Do you use any forms of Technology?

As you can see from these results , I found that a lot of people use diffent forms of techonlogy for
media purpose, the most extensive being phones and computers. I also found from this that people
mostly use their devices to listen to music. Also not a lot of people use them to watch a lot of films
which I usefull to the magazine as It mean the competitions and give aways feature of the magazine
can include movies or movie tickets as people are not just going to watch on their own device. It also
mean it gives and idea of what to include , media and technology wise , in the magazine.

As you can see from this and the results to quesiton six , I found that people would lioke to
see give ayways and competitions along with perhaps freebies in the college magazine.
