METHOD STATEMENT FOR INSTALLATION OF PPR PIPES & FITTINGS

FOR HOT & COLD WATER SYSTEM

1. SCOPE OF WORK
Installation as per manufacturers instruction. All the PPR pipes & fittings to DIN8079 & DIN8080 then test and
commission to the satisfaction of the Engineers.
2. RESPONSIBILITY

$ot & cold %ater s&stem. 'efore commencement of installation" the follo%ing %or(s are re)uired to #e completed

dra%ings.

-.0 +hec( %or( area clean and safe.
3. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

0.. $ori1ontal pipe supports %ill #e spaced as per specification and the supports %ill #e installed not o!er
000mm from the pipefitting 2oint at each change in direction of the piping. Pipe supports %ill #e spaced
not o!er ..3m apart at !al!es.
0.- *ar( the locations of the clamps on the soffit %ith chal( or mar(er pen as per the pipe routing in the shop
dra%ing.
0.0 *a(e holes in the mar(ed positions %ith a hammering drilling machine.
0.4 +lean the hole and insert the Anchor 5astener.
0.3 +ut the 6hreaded rod in the correct length and put the nut.
0.7 6ight the threaded rod %ith the inserted Anchor 5astener and tight the nut %ith a spanner.
0.7 6ight the $anging clamp to the threaded rod.

0.8 8ertical pipe %ill #e supported at each floor le!el and at inter!als as specified in the specification.
0.9 *ar( the locations of the supports on the %all %ith chal( or mar(er pen as per the pipe routing in the
shop dra%ing.
0..0 *a(e holes in the mar(ed locations %ith a hammering drilling machine.
0... +lean the holes and insert the Anchor 5astener. Anchorage to %alls %ill #e #& toggle #olting.
0..- Place the support in position9 insert #olt %ith %asher and it %ill #e tightened %ith spanner.

0..0*easure the length of pipe re)uired and cut to suit ensuring a s)uare cut. De:#urr inside and chamfer
outside edges of the pipes
0..4 *a(e 2oints of all fittings and #&,
0..4.. *easure the depth of soc(et and mar( %ith pencil on spigot end of pipe.
0..4.- 6he outside of the pipe and the inside of the soc(et of the fitting %ill #e cleaned.
0..4.0 6he pipe end and fitting %ill #e 2oined %ith fusion %eld 2oints to DIN .797- standards.
0..4.4 Push spigot end of pipe into the soc(et to full depth.
0..4.3 Repeat procedure along length of pipe and all #ranch pipes.
0..4.7 6he cold %ater pipe #ranch ta(en from the shaft %ith isolating !al!e and routed to the indi!idual
toilets. ;ne #ranch %ill #e fed to the heater and after the heater" hot & cold %ater pipes %ill run
parallel and distri#uted to all fi<tures. 6he !ertical hot & cold %ater distri#uted through PE= pipes.
