General
his rectier range is suitable for boost and oat-charging
of stationary installations. The low power ranges, are also
suitable for charging starter-batteries for diesel motors or gas
turbines.
Because the ADC has a very low output ripple current, it is ideal-
ly suited to be used with sealed batteries. The ADC can also be
connected to loads without batteries because of its excellent
dynamic performance.
These units can be supplied as a wall-mounted version (see pic-
ture 3) or as module (see picture 2) in a 19" plug-in version (see
picture 1).
Integrated function
he ADC is equipped with an active lter for sinusoidal
current consumption on the mains input. Using this tech-
nology a power factor of nearly 1 can be reached. This means
that only actual power is taken from the supply to feed the ADC.
The output is accurate, with constant power characteristic and
equipped with 3 different voltage levels as well as a current
limiting.
For optimizing the battery service life of sealed batteries tempe-
rature compensated charging voltage regulation is possible.
The unit is cooled with a fan which is temperature controlled
and superviced by a max. temperature guard.

DC-DC-converter from the output voltage during mains failure
from the battery.

Monitor unit CL 30 (see picture 5)

The monitor unit CL 30 provides the following indications, in

addition to those of the CL 20.
- charge level high
(varibale adjustment from 110-130% of nominal voltage)
- charge level low
(varibale adjustment from 90-110 % of nominal voltage)
- battery circuit failure
(daily automatic detection of a fault within the battery
circuit and a button for manual test)
- battery test
(variable adjustment for time and low voltage limit)
- Earth fault monitoring +/-
(adjustable from 0,1 up to 1 MOhm)
All monitoring functions can be individually delayed, and are lin-
ked to the common alarm relay and indicated via LED.
CL 40 option
This provides all the monitoring functions of the CL 30 via indi-
vidual volt free relay. The relay card is connected via an I
2
C-bus.
