The Evolution line of tubing rotators, including the CTR, E-Plus and E-Style models all require a drive
system to operate. There are three available systems: manual drive, mechanical drive, and, electrical
drive.

Manual Drive
The Manual Drive system allows the operator to rotate the tubing on a periodic basis. A daily operation
of three or four (3-4) rotations is recommended. For exact turning ratios, see the table on page 2. The
Manual Drive system is mostly used with progressive cavity pump (PCP) installations.

Mechanical Drive
Installation
Attach Walking Beam Clamp approximately 6" from pivot point on pump jack. Set Ratchet Handle to do
1 or 2 clicks each stroke of the pump jack. Adjust cable length using the cable adjustment screw at the
end of the Ratchet Handle Clevis.
Maintenance
Check oil once per year. Fill with 80w90 Gear Oil.
Grease Ratchet Handle once every six months.

Electrical Drive
The Electrical Drive System is used with progressive cavity pumps and beam pumps that have an
electric surface drive. The drive system is run by a 1750 rpm explosion proof 12V, 110V/220V or 460V
motor. For turning ratios, see the table on page 2.
