1 Upgrade Attention
1.1

Caution one
This version is P6-U06V100R001C00B512 please read the release characteristics

of the instructions and carefully upgrade.

(1) Software Requirements
Please ensure that the phone is Huawei original version before upgrading, no other
online unofficial version upgrade, otherwise, the upgrade progress maybe have risk to fail
and introduce unknown problems.
(2) Hardware requirements
The software is only available for P6-U06 mobile phone hardware, if you upgrade this
software on other phone models, this phone maybe not able to boot.

Any problem cause by user doesnt follow the instructions,

Huawei will not provide in warranty service.
1.2

Caution two
The upgrade process will wipe out the user data, if there is some important data, it is

recommended to do a backup before upgrading.

To make sure that the power of the battery is enough to run the upgrade process.
Maybe you can connect the handset with the charger or the USB data cable to provide
power.

3 Upgrade preparation
3.1

Check current upgrade environment

Make sure that the MICRO SD card is available and can be read and write.

3.2

Get and check the software package

According to the chapter 2.3, check the software package date and the file size.

4 Upgrade introduction
There are two methods to upgrade: normal upgrade and force upgrade.

5 Upgrade operations
5.1

Normal upgrade

Step 1. A MICRO SD card of 2GB or more should be available. The MICRO SD card
made by Sandisk, Kingstone, or Kingmax is recommended.
Step 2. Format the MICRO SD card (This operation is optional).
Step 3. Copy the entire dload folder (\Software\dload, with UPDATE.APP in it) to the root
directory of the MICRO SD card.
Step 4. Insert the MICRO SD card into the handset and power on. After entering the
home screen, run Settings->Updates->System updates->Local
update->Confirm->Upgrade to start the upgrade.
Step 5. Then enter the Software Upgrade Mode. Reference to the following pictures.

Force upgrade

Step 1. A MICRO SD card of 2G or more should be available. The MICRO SD card

made by Sandisk, Kingstone, or Kingmax is recommended.
Step 2. Format the MICRO SD card (This operation is optional).
Step 3. Copy the entire dload folder (\Software\dload, with UPDATE.APP in it) to the root
directory of the MICRO SD card.
Step 4. Make sure your handset is power off. Insert the MICRO SD card into the handset.
Press the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN key, and then press the POWER key
to power on the phone, and VOLUME UP key and VOLUME DOWN key should be
pressed more than 10 seconds, then enter the Software Upgrade Mode.

By Settings->About phone->Build number, to check the version, just like the pictures
