Cricket had probably reached &edfordshire by the end of the 12th century.
The earliest reference to cricket in the county is a match on #onday 15 $ugust 12.1 at Woburn Park bet'een a
&edfordshire 78 and a combined 9orthants and ,untingdonshire 78.

is also the earliest found about cricket in 9orthamptonshire.
The Woburn Club became prominent in the 12.5s and took part in a number of great matches against opponents
such as the famous <ondon Cricket Club.
