Kuala Lumpur : A World-Class City in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, the federal capital of Malaysia is landlocked over an area of 243
sqkm. It is one of the high-class bustling cities of Malaysia, which have been

Sri Mahamariamman Temple was built in
1890. The figurine of the Lord Murugan was
enshrined inside the Temple Cave.
Thaipussam is celebrated in a grand way in
the Temple Cave. People have been observing
Thaipussam at the end of January or the
beginning of February every year, since 1892.
An wooden upstair was attached to the
temple in 1920, which superseded the 272
stepped concrete upstair.

The complex of the Batu Temple Caves, which
has been upstanding at a height of 100m from
the ground, consists of three small and big
caves. The high ceiling of the Temple Cave
gives shelter to many ornate Hindu shrines.

The other two Cave Temples, which drag attention of the visitors are Art
Gallery Cave and Museum. These two caves are well-decorated with many

it. A 15 meter status of Lord Hanuman, the ardent follower of Sri Ram has been
