There is nothing like the feeling of opening the box

when you get your Starter Kit. The excitement you
feel is amazing, but then you realize you dont know
what to do with its contents. You may wonder where
to start. The first step is in knowing what you have.
Here are the basics of what you received in your
Premium Starter Kit.

How to Apply the Oils

Step Two

There are several ways to apply Young Living Essential Oils: topically,
inhalation, diffusion, and ingestion. Young Living Essential Oils are the
ONLY ones safe for ingestion. They are guaranteed to be pure. Please
do not ingest any essential oil other than Young Living.
Topically- Rub the recommended dose found on the label of the bottle,
along with any carrier oil needed for dilution on the affected area. You
can also rub the essential oils on your feet (see reflex point graphic found
on the last page of this booklet).
Inhalation- Open the bottle and sniff deeply. (Be careful as some oils
such as peppermint and cinnamon can be very potent when smelling
them.) Repeat several times. You can also put the oils on your hands and
cup them over your nose and mouth and breathe deeply. Adding oils to
warm, steaming water, covering your head with a towel over the bowl and
breathing it in, is another way to use them through inhalation.
Diffusion- Use the diffuser during the night or throughout the day to be
able to be able to breathe the essential oils in the air.
Ingestion- Using 00 sized vegetable based capsules put several drops
of your needed oil, plus carrier oils and take the pill as needed and per
instructions on the bottle. You can also put them in water or rice milk and
drink.
For more information see: http://ylwebsite.com/uploads/essential-oilsuser-guide.pdf

Using your diffuser is very simple. First plug it in to the wall and put it in a
location near where you will be sitting or sleeping for the best effect. Do
not turn the diffuser on until you have done the following steps:
1. Take off the clear plastic top and you will notice an edge inside the
diffuser. This marks the top of the water level in filling your diffuser. Fill
with water just below that line so as to avoid leaking. When filling, use
distilled or filtered water for best results.
2. Put several drops of your favorite or desired oils. Do not exceed 10
drops of your oils combined.
3. Once you have put all of your oils in, replace the clear plastic top.
4. Turn on the diffuser by pressing the button. The night light feature will
come on when the diffuser is running properly and a mist will come out
of the center of the clear plastic top.
5. After each use, clean by wiping out with a clean cloth. Never
submerge the diffuser in water.

What is a Carrier Oil?

I know you have heard the saying,

More is always better. When it comes
to essential oils, the thinking of more
being beneficial is not correct. These
essential oils are very powerful and can
be beneficial with one to two drops.
Many of the essential oils can be used
neat, which
means all by
themselves. However, many of the
essential oils are very powerful and
need to be diluted in order to be most
effective. They can be diluted with a
carrier oil. Mix the essential oil and
carrier oil in your hand or another
bottle in order to dilute. These carrier
oils help them absorb into the skin
more quickly and effectively. When
searching for an carrier oil to use,
please make sure that you use an
organic oil as well as an unrefined or
cold pressed oil if using that type.
Carrier oils will spoil and usually only
last around 6 months before needing
to be replaced.

Types of Carrier Oils:

V-6 Vegetable Oil by Young Living
Coconut Oil
Grape seed Oil
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Avocado Oil
Aloe Vera Gel (make sure this is pure)
Jojoba Oil

How to Order More

Step Nine

Know Your Rewards

Step Ten

Now that you have tried the oils, you would love to share them with
friends, but you are not sure how to do that. Here are some facts about
the Essential Rewards Program and how you can order oils for friends
while earning money back to be able to get FREE products.
1. By signing up for the Essential Rewards (ER) Program, you will enjoy
an automated monthly shipment of your favorite oils right to your door.
Each month you can set up your order choosing the oils you want and
the date you would like to have it shipped to your door at a flat,
discounted rate of $6.98 (US).
2. You will have to purchase $50 monthly to be able to remain in the ER
Program.
3. You have flexibility of dates your monthly order will ship and can
change them from month to month or keep the same date each
month. Choose from several available dates for your order to process.
4. Each month you will earn rewards points that can be used to get
FREE products. The first sixth months of your ER Program, you will
earn 10 points for every 100 PV (personal volume) you spend. The
more you spend, the more you will earn. After six months, your points
will increase per 100 PV. This is one way for friends to experience the
oils by you adding their order to your monthly shipment and then
having them reimburse you.
5. With the ER Program, you can also become an Independent
Distributor and have some extra income opportunities. If you would
like more information about the business side of Young Living Oils,

Safety Guidelines

Young Living essential oils are cultivated to be as pure and potent as possible.
We strongly recommend you read individual label instructions and the following
guidelines to ensure safe use of essential oils:
The orifice located in the oil bottle opening helps you follow correct
dosages. It also helps prevent small children from accidentally
swallowing large amounts of essential oil. If you suspect that a child
has consumed a large quantity of oil, give them milk and seek medical
advice.
Seek the advice of a health professional before topically applying any
red-drop oils to children (see application chart found at this link http://
www.scribd.com/doc/238916001/Essential-Oils-User-Guide).
When applying a new oil, test 1 drop on a small patch of skin first
(e.g., on the underside of the forearm). Skin sensitivity is highly
individual. If the skin feels hot or turns red, apply a vegetable oil
(V-6 or olive) to the area to dilute. Washing the area with water is
less effective.
Use only 1 new oil at a time to determine how your body responds.
Wait 30 minutes before applying another new oil.
Certain oils may sting the eyes and other sensitive areas. Essential oil
residue on the fingers may damage contact lenses or cause eye
discomfort. If accidental stinging does occur, put 12 drops of pure
vegetable oil into the eye.
Avoid putting essential oils directly into the ears.
Pure citrus oils may compound the effects of sun exposure. Limit
prolonged exposure to direct sunlight for up to 12 hours (up to 24
hours for angelica and lime; up to 48 hours for bergamot) after
applying these undiluted essential oils to the skin (see orange-dot oils
on the application chart).
Cosmetics, personal-care products, or cleansers with synthetic
ingredients penetrate the dermal layers of the skin. Avoid applying
essential oils to areas you use these products, as it may take these
chemicals deeper into skin, fatty tissue, or the bloodstream.
Avoid using essential oils on skin that has been damaged or affected
by chemical burns.
When adding essential oils to a bath, first mix 510 drops of essential
oil to 1/4 cup of Young Living Bath & Shower Gel Base or Epsom salt
and then add to running water.
Limit the diffusion of unfamiliar essential oils to 10 minutes/day,
increasing the time after determining their effects. The length of time
should depend on the size of the room and potency of the oils (see
application chart).
See individual label directions or check with a health professional
before using essential oils if you have a serious medical condition or
are pregnant, nursing, or planning to become pregnant. DO NOT use
wild tansy, clary sage, sage, fennel, wintergreen, or hyssop during
pregnancy.
Consult a health professional about any serious disease or injury. DO
NOT attempt to self-diagnose or prescribe any natural substances for
conditions that require professional attention.
