Tormene Americana DDI S.A. presents their new 8 Input Digital Module.
To use with any PLC or RTU and every application. It is used to isolate the DI Input module of your
PLC or RTU from field devices.
Offers per-channel surge and transient discharge, fuse based protection and cut blade terminal
block.
Offered in metal housings, these proximity sensors are interchangeable with existing sensors
of similar characteristics or can be designed specifically for individual application needs.

DIGITAL INPUT CIRCUITRY
The digital input circuitry has a relay protection for the digital inputs. The relay
has the function to isolate the field connections from the cabinet equipments or
PLCs digital input boards. This relay isolation is provided for each channel plus
a green led indicator of input active.
There are three configuration jumpers per channel to make the digital input
powered or not. It is very important in using active or passive indicators bringing
a great design versatility. It is useful with sensors that drives different voltages,
the board can be customized at factory for each application.

CHANNEL PROTECTION
The digital output protection circuitry includes a fast acting fuse with a red led
indication of fuse blowed.
The field terminal block contains a cut blade per input and per channel. This
characteristic is very useful at field to isolate a individual channel without the
need of disconnection of any cable.
An digital ground connection input is provided per channel.
8 Digital Input Module
FEATURES
These TADDI-8 I/O protection modules provides an integral
solution in connectivity and protection of digital input signals
from field. They have an built-on field terminal block (FTB) with
cut blades and ground connection for each input. These FTBs
eliminates the use of external terminals to connect field elements
to the controllers or PLCs. So, the use of these modules saves
costs and space in complex cabinets.
On the other side, they have a pin type connector with a bus
line cable to route the protected fields elements to controllers
terminal screws. In this way, the cable routing is more reliable
and simple with the add of save time and costs.

MOUNTING
The board is provided to mount directly on a industrial standard DIN rail, easy to accommodate in
cabinets or industrial equipments.
CONNECTIONS
A 24 points terminal input block with individual cut blades is provided for field instrumentation
connection labeled TB1.A dedicated point for digital ground conection is included per channel
without cut blade. They are numbered on the overlay of the board per each channel input.
A 3 points terminal input block is used to power up the board (TB4) and a power ground connection
is provided too.
The output connection is a 10 pin in line connector(TB2 & TB3),TB2 is the common relay outputs
and TB3 is the normal open outputs.
SURGE PROTECTION
Surge protection circuitry is built-in provided with three step protection technology. The TADDI-8 has an individual surge protection circuitry for
each channel.
This technology is based in a three stage level of protection. The first step is a fast gas discharger, intended basically for lightning discharges. The
second stage is a sensitive varistor type discharger, especially indicated for surge line protections. The last stage is a MOV type discharger, it
provides protection against undesirables voltage levels. The component values for each model are provided according to the application to be
implemented. The surge protection modules are mounted on I/O boards with solded terminals for easy replace and repair after a surge event. This
eliminates the need of replace the entire board.
