The power breaker switch can be controlled manually using the push-buttons onand off or externally via the switching contact PLC or RELAY.
This power contacts state is indicated by leds: Green led = open contacts. Red led = closed contacts.
While at SIGNAL OUTPUT terminals is available a TTL level: Low level ( 0V )= open contacts. High level ( 5V )= closed contacts.
The RS flip-flop state is indicated by a led: Yellow led = set flip-flop.
DL 2108T02 ver b20130115 3 3. PUSH-BUTTON CONTROL
The PLC and RELAY control inputs must be low (short - circuit).
DL 2108T02 ver b20130115 4 When the module is supplied with the auxiliary voltage, the power breaker K is normally open.
Pressing the push-button S on the RS flip-flop is set and the power breaker K is closed.
At SIGNAL OUTPUT terminals is present a high level, TTL compatible.
Pressing the push-button S off the RS flip-flop is reset and the power breaker driving is inhibited.
DL 2108T02 ver b20130115 5 4. RELAY CONTROL
The PLC control input must be low (short-circuit).
The RELAY control input is connected to a switching contact, normally closed.
DL 2108T02 ver b20130115 6 When the module is supplied with the auxiliary voltage, the power breaker K is normally open.
With closed RELAY contact, pressing the push-button S on the RS flip-flop is set and the power breaker K is closed.
When the RELAY contact is open the RS flip-flop is reset and the power breaker driving is inhibited.
Only when the RELAY contact is closed again it is possible to drive the power breaker K by means of the push-button S on.
DL 2108T02 ver b20130115 7 5. PLC CONTROL
The RELAY control input must be low (short-circuit).
The PLC control input is connected to a switching contact, normally closed.
DL 2108T02 ver b20130115 8 When the module is supplied with the auxiliary voltage the power breaker K is normally open.
With closed PLC contact, pressing the push-button S on the RS flip-flop is set and the power breaker K is closed.
When the PLC contact is open the drive coil of the power breaker is inhibited and the power contact K is open. The RS flip-flop remains in set state and when the PLC contact is closed again the power breaker K is closed.
Only pressing the push-button S off the RS flip-flop is reset and the power breaker driving is inhibited.
