Being an e.motion21 mover has been an incredibly rewarding
experience. From the beginning I have been embraced into
an organisation committed to allowing all dancers to thrive and
reach their full potential. I have loved seeing the determination of
the dancers each week when practicing their routines and their
excitement when the hard work pays off on performance day. I feel
privileged to be part of something so special and honored to be a role
model for these amazing dancers. They constantly inspire me!
Volunteer
I work at a local primary school and 3 of our students attend
your dance school. My student has developed so much
condence. I have seen pride and self esteem blossom in this young
man this year I am so happy to be a part of the journey. Thank you
for your care and dedication you really make a difference.

Our Achievements
moving bodies, moving boudaries
I have found e.motion21 to be a very supportive, caring
environment, giving us parents the chance to talk and share
ideas with other parents. To see our children express themselves
through dance, still brings tears to my eyes even after watching
them many times.

Volunteering as a Mover for e.motion21 has
been one of the best experiences of my life. I
am hooked. I now have the privilege of volunteering
as a Mover at the weekly dance classes at Kew, in
the teenager and adult classes.
Being a Mover enables you to be in the presence
of these beautiful children and young adults and
to experience the joy that dancing brings them.
Not only is it great to see the dancers having a
blast each week, but in just 6 short months I have
witnessed incredible growth in the dancers as well
(in terms of their movement, discipline, participation
and more) and I like to think that I have had some
small part to play in that. Even more than that, it is
great to feel like you are a part of something that
is changing the attitudes of the wider community
towards people with Down syndrome.
Being a Mover has certainly moved my boundaries
and I look forward to continuing to move the
boundaries of others.

Our Achievements
moving bodies, moving boudaries
On the way home from the Festival Sammy asked how
people knew if they had dance syndrome, he then wanted
to know if you could still be a good dancer if you were not born
with dance syndrome!

e.motion21 moves bodies, moves boundaries and
moves the spirit of these profoundly impressive Australian
dancing ambassadors right onto the world stage. Their sheer
talent, determination, sense of adventure, co-operation and
friendship is inspiring.

Whatever your beliefs are of the capabilities
of our fellow humans living with Down
syndrome you must see Enter From the Wings. It
will either conrm to you their life is just like yours,
full of hope, joy, disappointment, nervousness and
celebrations or it will open your eyes to the fullness
of a life living with an intellectual disability.
I personally was struck by the richness of a
relationship showcased between one dancer
and her father. I am embarrassed to admit it was
unexpected. The bond and the mutual support
they provided one another were truly beautiful to
experience.
Enter From the Wings has opened my eyes and
mind when I thought they were already open!
