Installing the RRUS

8.1 Single Unit Pole Installation

This section describes how to install the RRUS on a pole using a single unit
pole installation kit.
The supported pole dimensions are presented in Table 3, Section 2.3 on page 7.
Warning!
Risk for falling objects, work at height in progress. Falling objects can cause
serious injury or even be fatal. Always wear a helmet and avoid standing in
the danger area.
Note: The upper and the lower clamp look different.

Ensure that all the bolts and nuts are lubricated.
Do not use graphite-containing lubricants since they promote corrosion
and can damage cable insulation.
To install the RRUS, perform the following procedure:
1. Install the upper pole clamp in the desired position on the pole. Fasten the
washers and nuts to the clamp bolts and finger tighten. Adjust the pole
clamp so that the clamp bolts run parallel on each side of the pole.
Tighten the two M10 nuts to a torque of 41 Nm, using a torque wrench
fitted with a 16 mm socket.

2. Attach the lower pole clamp to the RRUS.
Tighten the two M10 nuts to a torque of 41 Nm, using a torque wrench
fitted with a 16 mm socket.

3. Hoist the RRUS as described in Section 4.3 on page 14.
4. Hook the RRUS onto the upper pole clamp. Move the upper part of the
RRUS 10 mm to the right so that the bolts on the upper pole clamp fit into
the narrow part of the holes on the upper bracket on the RRUS. Finger
tighten the bolts.

5. Close the lower pole clamp around the pole and finger tighten the nuts.
Adjust the pole clamp so that the clamp bolts run parallel on each side
of the pole.
Tighten the M10 nuts to a torque of 41 Nm, using a torque wrench fitted
with a 16 mm socket.

6. Tighten the two M10 bolts on the upper pole clamp to a torque of 41 Nm,
using a torque wrench fitted with a 16 mm socket.

7. Continue the installation of the RRUS in Section 8.6 on page 53.
8.2 Single Unit Wall Installation
This section describes how to install the RRUS on a wall using a single unit
wall installation kit.
