I went to Teaneck Traffic Courthouse on August 6 for an outstanding violations that occurred 11 years
ago. At that time (11 years ago) I paid $500 and that was the amount owed. Currently I am being told
that the ticket was never paid. In addition, the computer showed it to still be outstanding. This is
exactly what they told me to pay immediately or go to jail.. I received a notice to appear in court on
8/11 (see attached) so my Mom and I went. to the courthouse. On 8/11 Judge Young was not there.
Judge Leddy was there and he is the acting judge and he will be handling my case. . I explained to
judge Leddy that my attorney Mr. Santos Bonanaos who was (representing me at time) did not have a
copy of the complaint because he does not keep files over 7 years. I thought that the statue of
limitation has expired on this ticket. I think this is double jeopardy because I was already tried for
this. Once again my attorney Santos Bonanaos does not keep copies of traffic files over 7 years. This
noticeably is clears harassment from the Teaneck Police Dept.. (This is also a waste of taxpayer
money by issuing arrest warranties constantly going to court and jail for nothing). I also informed the
Judge Leddy that I was currently unemployed and could not afford an attorney. I asked for a public
defender Judge Leddy denied me a public definer he said pay up or go to jail Now this is currently my
legal crisis right now and a warrant is presently issued for my arrest. (see attached).
I have been receiving notices since Feb.2009 to pay this amount and a statewide arrest warrant was
issued (see attached). for my arrest right away. During this time. Officer Paul O’Keefe (of Oakland)
came to my house and knocked on the door grab me and arrested me right
Now 25 years ago my father filed a complaint against the Teaneck PO for harassment and police
misconduct. He was brutally and physical abused by the Teaneck PO. I believe that this is in
retaliation from my father’s complaint.. When I was picked up in Teaneck one of the officers made a
sarcastic reference concerning my Dad. I have been stopped 126 times is no coincident but I AM
CONCERNED FOR MY LIFE AND THESE POLICE OFFICERS ARE CONSTANTLY
PROVOKING. ME TO GIVE THEM A REASON TO SHOT AND KILL ME. Ultimately the
Teaneck Police Dept was charged with racial bias when a youth was shot and kill in 1990 where a
black youth was shot and killed and this sparked a race riot.
