Dear Church Family,

We had several exciting things happening at church this past weekend, in which
several of you participated. Friday evening Sharon Englands LIFE Group class
kicked off a monthly outreach event, providing a free meal to the community.
Even though that class sponsored it, many others helped. There were twenty one
workers present and they fed forty nine people. Way to go and a special thanks to
everyone who gave their time and labor of love.
Then on Saturday, Brian, with the help of others, pulled off the big youth event
Mobilize. I believe he shared that nine decisions for Christ were made. Also, the
youth praise team did a wonderful job of leading our music on Sunday morning.
Finally, on Sunday evening we viewed the movie, Gods Not Dead. It was a
powerful movie and we had a large crowd to view it. It was all good and I
appreciate your willingness to get involved.
Beginning in September and continuing through November, we are going to be
engaged in Connect Campaign, which is an emphasis on outreach and
evangelism, as we carry out the Great Commission. Beginning in September, we
will have an eight week Outreach Burst, having weekly visitation. In October
we will conduct a Soul-winning Commitment Day, where we will all learn a
couple of gospel presentations and begin to pray for our lost friends and
neighbors. It will all culminate on November 2
nd
, with a high attendance day in
Bible study and worship.
I need each class, and in fact, everyone to participate in praying, inviting and
sharing the love of Christ with each person that crosses our path. I believe we live
in urgent times and Gods people need to be doing all they can to advance the
kingdom of our Lord Jesus. Please commit to be involved in everything that
youre LIFE Group and church is called to do. Gods Not Dead and we have
some great opportunities to serve Him!
In Christ,
Bro. Darrol

Dear Church Family,
School is back in session and we are already feeling the pressure rising on the students. While most students
are dreading the return of their classes and school work, I cant wait to see what the Lord will do in their
campus this year. Please be in prayer for our youth as they walk the hallways of their schools. Its hard to be a
teenager in the 21
st
Century. Trust me, I know! However, God has a Hugh plan for them and that school and
we need to be in prayer that He uses this year to be the turning point for the teenagers of this area.
On August 23
rd
we had our 8
th
annual MOBILIZE event here at our church. The Lord completely blessed this
event, making it a huge success. My predecessor, Heath Woolman, did a phenomenal job at proclaiming the
gospel message. As a result of your prayers and support, nine students made decisions for Christ! Amen!
With that said, I would like to extend a very special thank you for all those that helped assist with this years
event. If you participated, you played a very special part in seeing these nine students become brothers and
sisters in Christ. I cannot give you any higher praise than that. Thank you so much for your essential
contributions.
We are gearing up for a great school year and ready to see God do some amazing things this year! On
Wednesday, September 25
th
from 6:30am to 7:00am at Frostproof High School we will be par ticipating
in the national See You At The Pole event! SYATP is community wide event where the students are
challenged to assemble at their schools flag pole for a national time of worship and prayer. Because of my
limited availability to our public school system, this event is entirely student lead. Please be in prayer for our
students and the persecution that is very likely to follow this stand for Christ.
Here is a list of important dates for our youth coming up this fall:
Saturday, September 6
th
Rock the Universe
Wednesday, September 24
th
See You at the Pole
Sunday, October 5
th
-- Soul Winning Commitment Day
Saturday, October 26
th
Trunk or Treat
Sunday, November 2
nd
-- Connection Day

Keep fishing,

Bro. Brian

Jesus said, Abide in me, and I in youfor without me you can do nothing!
It seems I am continually saying THANK YOU to our church family. Your love, kindness, and
generosity to the children and youth of our church and community touches my heart in a big way.
Without your help and the Jesus that abides in us-we can do nothing!
Creators Kids Bible study: I appreciate Pastor Darrol and Cheryl Hadden for putting a team together
to work with the children on Wednesday night during the summer.
Childrens Life Group Leaders: Michelle Young, Leslie Robarts, Brian Long, Gwen Greenway,
Richard Miller, Francis Pitts, Scott and Amanda Long, Trevor and Tiffany Ard, and Ruth Martinez are
so faithful each week!
AWANA Commanders: Clay and Julie Brantley and the AWANA Team. The AWANA Program will
be resuming September 10 (Registration September 3). Im sure they could use a few extra helpers,
please contact them if interested.
The school supplies and health care products you provided for our students.
GOOD NEWS CLUB: (Child Evangelism) will be resuming October 8 in our local schools. If you are
interested in helping us, even occasionally, please let me know. Free training and materials will be
provided.
Trunk or Treat will be coming up soon. Begin praying now for the people who will be attending. Pray
for more folks to pass out tracts, treats and to give the Gospel to the families that will be coming.
The Childrens Ministry will continue to assist and support the monthly Community Feeding Program.
We will also be providing items to those with a need, from the KidZ Care Closet. If you would like to
help us by providing non-perishable food, toothpaste, tooth brushes, soap, deodorant, shampoo, diapers,
and other personal hygiene products it would enable us to help more families. Please bring your items to
the church office or to the Childrens Department, or see me or Charles and Jo Marshall. God has already
used many of you in providing items to assist our local families. I have often said I love and support
missions and missionaries worldwide, but consider Frostproof to be my Jerusalem.

In His Service,
Diane Cannon

A big thank you to everyone who has been a part of our W.M.U. Ministry. We appreciate the gifts of material to make our
heart pillows and the gifts of money to purchase the fiberfil to stuff the pillows.

And then there are all those willing hands that cut and sew at home and come to our meetings and stuff and bag the pillows.
We even have those who deliver pillows. I cant name each of you so Ill just thank all of you. May God bless you for your
service.

Since January, 650 pillows have gone to Tampa General Hospital and 125 pillows went to Lakeland Regional Medical Center
for heart and lung patients. A few have also gone to individuals from our church who needed one. We have another 128
pillows to go. So you see everyone has been busy.

Id like to share a part of two notes we recently received from patients who benefitted from this ministry. Marge a patient at
Tampa General writes: I want to thank you so much for the heart pillow I received after open heart surgery. I still use it in the
car for bumpy roads. I am 9 weeks post-op. Glen a patient at Lakeland Regional writes: Ladies, ladies just got to say thank
you for the heart pillow! I left with my most prized possession (my pillow)! It has been through the washer, patched Glen
goes on to tell that two years later he wanted a new pillow. He continues, Well, the Lord answered the hard way. I was
admitted to LRMC and my brightest moment was seeing the nurse bring me a new pillow.

If you would like to be a part of this ministry come to our next meeting on September 9, at 9:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall or
call me (863) 635-7282 for ways you can help.

Week of Prayer For State Missions
September 7, 2014
Through the Maguire State Mission Offering,
Florida Baptists, Gods compassionate people, have
an opportunity to be a blessing to those who are
followers of the Lord as they seek to win souls and
proclaim the gospel message.
The Offering provides funding for 24
compassionate ministries designed to fulfill Gods
purpose in Florida and the Great Commission among
its mission partners. Without funding from the
offering, many of these ministries could not be
accomplished.

Dear First Baptist Church of Frostproof,

Thank you so much for the many hygiene packs
donated to the Hearth Project. Last school year we
identified 3,793 students that were in a homeless
situation. As we prepare for the new school year, we
are so grateful to have hygiene packs to give the
homeless students. Those are necessary items that are
so appreciated by the students and families that
receive them.

Sincerely,

Dee Dee Wright
