Yes, I do agree that NOTA option should pe provided on ballot box.

The points which I want to

keep in front of you is as we all say that our country is democratic so we have right to select
candidate, if he/she deserves to be our leader equally we have right to reject him/her. With the
help of NOTA we can warn political parties that YES, we are educated citizens and we know who is
good and who doesn't deserves to be our leader because of this warning they may change
themselve and put efforts to do well for our society. And this warning is better rather then sitting
at home and not casting vote. If in case reelection occurs then we have new leaders which political
parties will see that particular leader is responsible and intellectually present in front of us. So now
we ll get a better choice.

And why we compromise with our government by choosing any type of corrupt leader whether he
is less or more corrupt we should not compromise.

And we should favour re-election in case of NOTA comes in majority, time and money is minute
thing in front of that leader who comes and loot our nation fully for 5 years.

We should insist supreme court to make strict laws regarding NOTA.

I think all of us should accept NOTA, because it is the right opportunity to reject wrong people
from your side. We have to thank to government for enable this option for us. Even some people
thought about NOTA is time wast process and useless option in election to elect leader.

But, if voter didn't believe any person who nominate to election as leader here NOTA is a good
option to skip those people from elect. Like this, if most majority of people choose NOTA then
Government may understand what people think and which type of leader really they want. And
also all politicians get fear when NOTA majority occur by voters. So Most of those politicians
decides to do their best service for people next time.

There is no point in introducing NOTA button on the Electronic Voting machine. I would like to
share a different point of view on this.

Consider you are a voter yourself and you are well aware of the party's that are standing in the
elections. If you are a concerned voter, you will definitely know about these parties and their
agendas and hence you will be pretty much sure whom you are going to vote or not vote at all.
So, you will go to vote for a party of your choice. And if you don't like any of the party's then
obviously you will not go the polling booth in the first place itself. Which is same as pressing the
NOTA button.

So why have this NOTA button, when, the voter knows that he is not going to vote for anybody.

In my opinion the decision of apex court to add the option of NOTA (None Of The Above) to the
polling machine is somewhat justified.

Before the Assembly Polls of 2013 and Lok Sabha Elections of 2014 the voting percentage used to
be quite low. But these elections have recorded the highest percentage of voting ever. This means
that people who were not active participants in the voting process have begin to show their zeal to
use their right to vote.

Also, the huge no.of first-time voters in these elections shows that the youth of this country is
willing to participate in the electoral process. As we know that India has a huge population of
youth so the turnout of youth in these elections shows that youth has accepted their responsibility
towards their nation and this will help India to soon be able to realise the importance of democracy
which was not realized till date.

This all was possible due to NOTA. So, if this is helping people in expressing their opinion then
what is wrong in adapting it?

Yeah, there are disadvantages but I do not think that any disadvantage is so huge that it can
outweigh the advantage which the NOTA has provided to this nation, i.e. Right to Vote and Right
to Express Oneself. Also NOTA has magnified the definition of democracy which will help India to
prosper.

Well, I appreciate the insights of everyone. If we carefully analyse the political situations in India,
there is much unavoidable inflammation between all the parties. Majority of the parties keep
targeting their vote banks based on caste and minority. This makes parties with agenda's evolve
poorly with the people and creates a havoc during election campaigns. Also factually, there are
more number of uncivilized voters than civilized that turn up every time.

There are some constituencies that contain all the badly influenced politicians polling and voters
when not given NOTA should definitely cast their vote to those undeserving candidates. If most
voters in any constituency cast their vote by selecting the NOTA, the Election Commission of India
will notice the non supported voting action and can discard the members of that constituency and
replace then with more worthy candidates. So, NOTA should also be an advantage to uproot
political leaders under dark influence.

*In my perception NOTA is a good option which will become a powerful tool in future *People can
express their resentment when they do not like the contestants.

*But at the same time there are some drawbacks like their is no strict law made for NOTA.

*Suppose if NOTA gets majority what has to be done?

*NOTA becomes a powerful tool when some amendments are done.

1. There must be re-election if NOTA gets 35% majority itself.

2. As money is wasted for re-election it must be borne by political parties.

3. Contestants must be prohibited at least for 10 years if NOTA gets majority in a particular
constituency.

4. Even if political parties doesn't agree to bare the re-election cost, there must be re-elections
because it is better to conduct again rather than electing the corrupt person who would loot the
country for 5 years. In this point of view cost of re-election is very minute.

5. If this happens for 2 are 3 times political parties will think many times before giving a ticket to
the candidate.

6. So a right person is elected for right position. And if all these are implemented.

Then there might be a developed INDIA within 15 years.

In present scenario NOTA may appear a useless tool.

But with its publicity among voters and strict law for NOTA it definitely becomes a powerful tool in
making a developed INDIA in 15 years.
