Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C
Review the status of drug development as well as novel and emerging therapies for viral hepatitis
Afternoon Session on Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC)
Discuss the screening and surveillance criteria for patients at risk for HCC
Articulate the multiple therapeutic options for HCC patients
Implement a multidisciplinary approach to optimize the care of patients with HCC

What attendees at the 2nd Annual Current Trends in Liver Disease Symposium had to say:
I was impressed with the new information regarding liver cancer. I was part of the population who thought
this was a very bad diagnosis with no hope but I learned that I needed to approach this diagnosis with hope.
As a new practitioner, in a position where at least 50% of patients are being diagnosed with either hepatitis
or cirrhosis, this activity has assisted me in providing better care for them until I am able to get them seen by
a specialist.
Fatty liver presentation gave concrete information on how to improve patient outcomes.
I know the current recommendations and diagnostics.
Very applicable to my current practice/patient population.
