ORIENTATION AND ENROLMENT
All new students are required to attend the Orientation and Enrolment sessions, held in the week before classes start. You

DECLARING FINANCIAL CAPACITY
Background Information:
The Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) requires that universities ensure international students have
sufficient funds to support themselves and any dependants during their study in Australia.
In order to receive your Confirmation of Enrolment letter (CoE) you are required to sign the Acceptance of Offer and Declaration of
Financial Capacity form attached to this offer. In signing this form you are confirming that you have sufficient funds to pay for travel,
tuition and living expenses for yourself, your spouse/partner (if applicable) and any dependent children during your stay in Australia.

ACCEPTANCE OF OFFER AND DECLARATION OF FINANCIAL CAPACITY
I, Miss Zennia Thalia Makil, student ID: 3125970, wish to accept the offer from the University of Canberra to study 762AA
Bachelor of Commerce as stated in the letter of offer dated 1 August 2014 and declare that:
1. I have carefully read and understood the conditions of my enrolment as outlined below:
a) I am not an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, or citizen of New Zealand, nor hold an Australian Permanent
Protection visa.
b) That the course information and annual tuition fee are correct as at the date of this letter. I understand that
international tuition fees may be reviewed annually and if this offer is not for the current year, I will be required to
pay the set fee applicable for the year in which I commence the relevant course. I understand that it is my
responsibility to check the latest course fee information with the University prior to enrolment. Course fee

c) The total tuition fee for an individual student is fixed at the time of enrolment for the normal length of time to
complete the course on a full time basis. The actual tuition fee charged each semester may differ depending on the
number and weighting of subjects in which I am enrolled in each semester.
d) I may be subject to other fees, charges and conditions current for each semester in which I enrol, in addition to
those stated in the Offer Letter. I understand that it is my responsibility to check with the University prior to
enrolling.
e) That where I am still to meet certain entry conditions, the University may not accept any fee payment or issue a
Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) [if applicable]. Your CoE may be cancelled by the University if all the conditions
stated in the offer letter have not been met.
f) That I am required to arrive at the University in time attend the Registration and Orientation Week (ROW) and that I
must consult with my course convener before I enrol in any subjects (units).
g) I accept any offer of credit (advanced standing) detailed in this letter.
h) In the event of this course not being offered I will be advised in writing prior to the commencement of the course
and will be entitled to a full refund of any tuition fees and OSHC paid for this course.
i) I have read the refund policy as outlined in the attachment and located at: www.canberra.edu.au/student-
services/fees/fee_policy.
j) I understand my rights and responsibilities pursuant to the ESOS Act as the holder of a student visa, as explained in
the ESOS fact sheet located on the AEI website: https://aei.gov.au/Regulatory-Information/Documents/ESOS.
k) That I will be required to comply with all student visa regulations imposed by the Department of Immigration and
Border Protection, including completion of the course within the duration as specified on my CoE (if applicable).

p) I authorise the University of Canberra to check details of my migration status (study and/or work entitlements) with
the Department of Immigration and Border Protection.
q) This agreement, and the availability of complaints and appeals processes, does not remove my right to take action
under Australias consumer protection laws.

2. I have read and understand the financial capacity requirements for study at the University of Canberra and confirm

a) I have sufficient funds to cover all costs associated with my study including return airfares, tuition, OSHC and living
expenses for myself and any family members who may accompany me to Australia;
b) I acknowledge that I am responsible for ensuring that I have sufficient funds available during my study at the
University of Canberra;
c) In the event that I do not have sufficient funds to cover my study and living costs that the University reserves the
right to cancel my CoE and report the cancellation to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection; and
d) While my visa permits me to work up to 40 hours per fortnight I should not rely on work to support myself in
