OML Driving Safety Rules

I have been instructed and understand OML Fundamental Life Saving Rules and a copy issued to me
I have been instructed on whom to call in case of an emergency.
I have been introduced to my supervisor.

Safety Disciplinary Actions

I have been made aware that failure to follow established rules, procedures, and safety signs is inviting
accidents. I understand that OML is committed to Safety and Safety rules will be enforced through progressive
discipline except where OML Fundamental Life Saving Rules are violated where dismissal may be immediate,
after violation proof through investigation.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

I understand the PPE that is required for my job.
I understand the hazards my PPE will protect me against.
I understand that I am required to wear my PPE correctly, every time and NO EXCUSES will be accepted.

Handling of Hazardous Material

I understand the substances I will be carrying or handling.
MSDS sheets have been discussed for the material I will use.
I understand the safe handling procedures for these hazardous materials.
I understand emergency procedures in case of a spill.

Vehicle Parking



I understand that stationery vehicles/plant should have their parking brake applied and left in gear for precaution.
I understand that if a vehicle cannot be left in gear, wheel chokes should be used front and rear.
Vehicle Driving

I understand that I must only drive a vehicle that I am authorized and trained to use.
I understand that I must maintain my assigned vehicle every day and prior to each use.
I understand that I must follow the highway code and respect other motorists and pedestrians
I understand that I MUST use signals at all times while driving.

Safety Risk

I understand that it is never acceptable for me to take shortcuts, ignore near misses, or engage in horseplay.
I understand that such activities as listed above will put me as well as others at risk.

Safety Hazards

I understand that all Safety hazards are to be reported immediately, so that they may be immediately addressed

Accident Reporting

I understand accident reporting procedures.

Work zone Safety

I understand that I am required to keep my work area and vehicle clean.
I will abide by good housekeeping practices.
