GENERAL NOTES
INITIAL PREPARATION
This pre-delivery inspection manual covers all
vehicles and derivatives, ifthe item is not fitted to the
vehicle or is not applicable go to the next inspection
or instruction.

Check all panels for correct profile, alignment
and any foul condition

2. Visually check panels for correct profile.
Check paint and bodywork for damage
1. Inspect paint and bodywork from a distance of
2 meters whilst walking around the vehicle.
2. Refer to transit delivery note for recorded
damage/ missing items
Set customer and market configuration with
TestBook
1. TestBook has 4 programs to support the
preparation of a vehicle for a customer: Market,
Programming; Dealer Configuration; Satellite
Navigation Language Selection and Remote
Handset Programming.
2. Market Programming is the minimum PDI
requirement and allows the vehicle to be
configured to the country in which the vehicle is
to be sold
3. Dealer Configuration gives the option to further
programme the car to customer specific
requirements.
4, Satellite Navigation Language Selection gives.
the customer the option to select an alternative
language to English or German.
5. Remote Handset Programming allows
additional handsets to be programmed for the
vehicle. These programmes are found on
TestBook. You will need to enter the Vehicle
and VIN number. From the main menu select
‘Vehicle Maintenance’ then ‘Pre Delivery
Inspection’. The TestBook programs will the
guide you through the process.
