CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS

Article I
NAME
The organization shall be known and called as the Junior Institute of Electronics Engineers of
the Philippines Association of Electronics Engineering Students, hereinafter referred to as
JIECEP and shall hold its office in AMACC-Davao.


Article II
PURPOSE AND GOALS

The JIECEP, under the direct supervision of the Department of Engineering of AMACC-Davao, is
an umbrella academic club of Engineering Department. As such, the main objective of JIECEP is
to have lead role in spearheading activities that will involve the integration of all Electronics and
Communications Engineering Students. Other purpose and goals of
JIECEP are the following:
1. To instil camaraderie and team spirit among Electronics Engineering students wherein
moral integrity and excellence are among its foundation;
2. To create a team of service oriented individuals providing support to its members in the
form of academic tutorial and counselling;
3. To provide a venue and opportunity for Electronics Engineering students of AMACC-
Davao to showcase and their talents in Engineering innovation through exhibits,
workshops and seminars;
4. To help freshmen and sophomore transition and integrate into college life, particularly in
the electronics and communication culture;
5. To provide a venue for leadership training and succession for continual improvement
thereby preparing them to be globally competitive;

Article III
MEMBERS AND MEMBERSHIP

Section I- Eligibility for Membership
1. Only bona fide students of Electronics Engineering of AMA Computer College-Davao are
eligible for membership in JIECEP;
2. He/she should be currently enrolled in AMACC-Davao;
3. He/she is required to pay the membership fee of Two Hundred pesos only (Php. 250.00)
only effective for the first trimester of S.Y. 2014-2015.
JIECEP Membership - Php. 150.00
Affiliation Fee - 35.00
AECES Fund - 65.00
Total Php. 250.00
4. Renewal of membership will be One Hundred pesos (Php. 100.00).

Section II- Duties and Responsibilities of Members
1. Each member is required to be an active participant of all activities of JIECEP;
2. Members are required to attend General Membership Meetings that will be called by
the officers of JIECEP-AECES from time to time;
3. Each member is required to do their best to excel in all major subjects of Engineering;
4. It is the duty of each member to help and assist fellow members in matters of academic
studies and curriculum projects.

ELECTION OFFICERS

Section 1: The Officers of this club shall be composed of a President, Vice- President, Secretary,
Treasurer, and Public Information Officer.

Section 2: Election of the Officers shall be held in every school year before the Club Fair.

Section 3: Only Members of JIECEP are eligible for nominating and voting during election.



Article VI
QUALIFICATION OF OFFICERS

Section 1
1. The officers to be elected shall exhibit integrity and honesty as a student of Electronics
and Communications Engineering and if elected shall continue to adhere to these same
standards;
2. He/she shall be currently enrolled in Engineering of AMACC-Davao;
3. He/she shall be currently enrolled in at least 18 units of subject;










Article VII
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE OFFICERS

Section 1- President
1. The President shall be responsible for the day-to-day operations of JIECEP;
2. The President immediately if elected shall choose from the General Membership
committees who shall spearhead the following proposed annual activities for JIECEP;
a. Seminars;
b. Workshop;
c. Field Trip;
d. Special Projects;
3. The Proposed Annual Plans and Activities shall be presented to all members by the
President for approval;
4. Upon approval of the Proposed Annual Plans and Activities, the President has the direct
responsibility on its implementation;
5. The President, upon being elected, shall request the Junior Institute of Engineersof the
Philippines (JIECEP) to also present the Proposed Annual Plans and Activities to the
members of the organization;
6. The President and the Treasurer are the signatories for the bank account of the
organization.

Section 2- Internal and External Vice-President
1. The Vice-President shall assist the President in the day-to-day operation of JIECEP;
2. He/she shall assume the duties and responsibilities of the President in cases when the
President is absent;
3. He/she shall be responsible for maintaining good relationship with other organizations;
4. He/she shall is responsible to liaise with the Engineering umbrella organization, JIECEP;
5. He/she shall perform the duties that may be assigned to him/her from time to time by
the President.


Section 3- Secretary
1. The secretary shall maintain all the records of transaction of JIECEP and shall be
responsible for the proper turn-over of the same record to the next Secretary;
2. He/she shall keep an update on all the members of the organizations;
3. He/she shall always take the attendance and minutes of all meetings made by JIECEP;
4. He/she shall perform other duties and responsibilities assigned to him/her from time to
time by the President.


Section 4- Treasurer
1. The treasurer will be responsible in keeping a timely accurate and complete records of
financial transaction of the organization;
2. He/she shall be responsible in safe-keeping the funds of JIECEP;
3. He/she shall be responsible in receiving and in disbursing of funds in behalf of the
organization;
4. In the disbursement of JIECEP funds, he/she must secure a written approval from the
President and the moderator;
5. He/she shall perform other duties and responsibilities assigned to him/her from time to
time by the President.




Section 5- Auditor
1. The auditor will be responsible for liquidation and assessment of all the expenses of the
department;
2. He/she shall be responsible in keeping track of all transaction of the treasurer;
3. He/she shall perform other duties and responsibilities to him/her from time to time by
the President.


Section 6- Public Information Officer (PIO)
1. The PIO will be the over-all in-charge in the dissemination of information to all the
members of the organization;
2. He/she shall coordinate with the President on how to better promote/advertise
activities of JIECEP.

Article VIII
TENURE OF OFFICE

1. Immediately after being elected, the new set of officers will be proclaimed in the
presence of the Moderator of JIECEP. The elected officers shall serve their term for One
(1) year and ending upon the proclamation of a new set of officers;
2. An officer can be terminated from office, if he/she is found to violate the very
foundation of JIECEP, which are moral integrity and excellence;
3. Termination from office shall require Two-thirds (2/3) vote of no-confidence from the
members and with the approval of the moderator;
4. Vacancy of position shall be filled immediately and the replacement will only serve the
remaining term of the office and ending at the same time as the current set of officers.
5. Each officer, upon the end of tenure, shall perform the duty to turn-over their office
including records to the newly elected officers.

Article IX
MODERATOR
Section 1
The Moderator must be a bona fide faculty member of the Engineering Department of AMACC-
Davao.
Section 2
The Moderator shall have the following duties and responsibilities:
1. The Moderator shall serve in an advisory position without any voting rights;
2. He/she have the responsibility to advice the officers on the organizations Annual Plan of
Activities;
3. He/she shall have the responsibility of guiding the organization into the path of highest
Engineering Ethical Standards.

Article X
AMENDMENTS OF THE BY-LAWS
Section 1
1. Any bona fide member of JIECEP has right to propose any amendments in the by-laws;
2. A proposed amendment by any member shall be submitted to the President for its
validity and rationality;
3. If the President finds the proposed amendment/s valid and rational, the President then
submit the proposed amendment/s to the members for deliberation;
4. If the members found the proposal valid upon a Two-thirds (2/3) vote of all, the
President will instruct the PIO to disseminate the proposed amendment/s to all the
JIECEP members for study and calls for a General Assembly to vote on the proposal;
5. The proposed amendments shall be integrated into the by-laws of the organization only
upon the concurrence of Two-thirds (2/3) majority of the whole member of JIECEP

I Careen B. de Dios President of the JIECEP of AMA Computer College-Davao, in behalf of
the whole student body and the student council, after havingly sworn to in accordance with the
law, hereby depose and say that:
1. The Club/ Organization need one moderator/ adviser for this Academic Year 2014-2015
to facilitate its ever-growing concerns to the club/ organization having known and
recognize their ultimate goal.
2. Selection of moderator/ adviser from the faculty member is in accordance with the club/
