1A. Design an efficient multirate system with sampling rate conversion from a 10.125 KHz to
8.82 KHz. Calculate the cutoff frequency of the filter used in this system. Give an efficient
implementation scheme for this system.

1B. Discuss the IFIR method of filter design. If IFIR technique is used to implement two stage
design with L

structure. In what way this structure efficient?
1C. Explain the working of trans-multiplexer used in digital telephone networks. Prove
that the use of multirate systems here results in an economical design.
