Introduction
This document describes the step by step approach to configure the mail services to the concerned recipient
if some process chain fails. This is very important in the data load monitoring activity for SAP BI Production
support.
Create Distribution list - SBWP / SO23:
Execute Transaction SBWP/SO23:

Go to environment and select Distribution List:

A new window would be displayed. Here you need to click on the create button to create a distribution list:

Give the name of the distribution list as per your choice and the title of it in the attribute tab. Now you have to
create a folder to store the distribution list and then click on the Distribution list content tab.

List the concerned users id in the recipient column and choose Internet address in the column Receipt type.

: Tick it if you want to send the mail as To.

: Tick it if you want to send the mail as CC.

: Tick it if you want to send the mail as BCC.

Make a Copy of CCMS Auto Reaction Method in RZ21
It is meant for sending out email notifications and maintaining parameters.
Run the transaction RZ21.
Click on the display overview button in the Method block.

Now search for the mail services, you can search it by following the below step:

It will display the results: you need to choose the relevant mail service: CCMS_OnAlert_Email.

Now select the job and click on the copy button:

Note: Here you are creating a customized mail service by copying the standard mail service. If you are having one
process chain for that you want to intimate user then you make a single copy of it, if you are having more than one
process chain then create same number of copy for the available number of process chain for which you want to
send the mail.

Maintain this Method in the Properties of the MTE under BI Monitoring Monitor set in
RZ20
Execute the transaction RZ20:

Expand BI Monitors and double click on BI Monitor.

It will list you the process chain names:

Select the process chain for which you want to send the mail and click on properties.
Here in our case we have taken One Ztest process chain for example:

The below window would be displayed:

Click on the Methods tab:
Provide the copied mail service name in the Auto reaction method filed: ZCCMS_OnAlert_Email and Save
it.

This completes the setup for the mail service. From here onwards if the process chain fails then system
automatically sends the message to the concerned users.
