AusChem Training WA Reaccreditation
Minimum of 8 participants required
This one-day course is an essential update for primary producers in all aspects of chemical use and is designed to
maintain AusChem WA accreditation. It covers new information in environmental safety, personal and occupational
health and safety, legislation, spraying and calibration techniques, residues and resistance to chemicals.
During the course there is the opportunity to review best practice principles and changes in controls on chemical use,
take a fresh look at environmental management techniques and identify procedures to minimise risk to chemical users
and to comply with regulatory requirements.
Competency based course
Covers a competency contained within Australian National Training Framework Training Packages.
AHCCHM401A Minimise risks in the use of chemicals
Competent participants receive a Statement of Attainment from the participating registered training organisation, and
an ID card and certicate from AusChem WA indicating their accreditation is extended for a further 5 years.
Eligibility
Participants must have completed Risk Management in Pesticide Use (or an equivalent qualication). Chemical users
who have let their accreditation lapse for over 10 years are not eligible to attend reaccreditation programmes and will
need to re-take Risk Management in Pesticide Use.

This course is designed to obtain a spraying licence for Dieback Protection in Bushland.
(For the application of Phosphite to protect trees and vegetation from Dieback.)

This unit covers the process of maintaining, preparing and operating hand-held chainsaws in a work environment and
denes the standard required to: select, use, maintain and store suitable personal protective equipment; carry out

to manufacturers specications and documented low risk work procedures; assess and minimise environmental

Aqua Fitness Instructors Course
The South West Institute of Technology is ofering quality, exible training for tness instructors to enable you to work
in an aquatic setting. The training will allow you to register with Fitness Australia as an Aqua Instructor and give you
the skills to perform basic water rescues. This will add another facet to your client training. Learning how to work
with clients in the water will provide you with ability to broaden your client base to include clients with special needs,
rehabilitation clients and to provide alternate training sessions to meet their needs.
The course includes two units:
SISFFIT310A - Plan and Deliver Water Based Fitness Activities
SISCAQU202A - Perform Basic Water Rescues
Participants will cover the requirements to plan, deliver and evaluate water based tness activities for mainstream
clients. On successful completion, candidates can register with Fitness Australia as an Aqua Instructor and able to claim

A hands on course designed to teach the basic skills and knowledge of how to prevent and manage injuries on and
of the eld. Those skills include immediate management of sporting injuries, sports taping and transporting the injured
athlete.
Pre-Requisite unit Apply First Aid is required to enrol in this course. (Need to bring original evidence to class for
Lecturer to sight)
Accreditation available with Sports Medicine Australia when completed.
Run over 1 day plus additional online modules for accreditation.
This course is ideal for prospective sports trainers, coaches, administrators and parents. There is a follow-up practical

This course is relevant for any person wishing to obtain the Nationally Recognised High Risk Work Licence to Operate
a Forklift (LF class). Our Worksafe Registered Trainer/Assessor will give participants hands on practical skills and
knowledge in the safe and efcient operation of a counter-balance forklift.
This course is suitable for participants with little or no previous forklift operating experience to experienced operators.
By completing this training and assessment you will be awarded the High Risk Licence class LF that is recognised
across all Australian States and Territories.

It is a legal requirement throughout Australia that anyone who works in licensed premises such as a pub, bar, restaurant
or nightclub, complete Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) training prior to commencing work. The RSA Course will

This unit of competency species the outcomes required to demonstrate the use of portable re extinguishers, re
hose reels and re blankets.
This unit also supports re protection equipment service technicians responsible for demonstrating to customers how
to interpret and follow manufacturers instructions on various rst attack reghting equipment in emergency situations.
Work in this area must be completed according to relevant legislative, industry, customer and organisational
requirements, including occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
Diferent states and territories may have regulatory mechanisms that apply to this unit. Candidates are advised to
check for regulatory limitations.

White Card
Minimum of 8 participants required
The White Card species the outcomes required to undertake Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) induction training
within the construction industry.
It requires the ability to demonstrate personal awareness of OHS legislative requirements, and the basic principles of
risk management and prevention of injury and illness in the construction industry.
Licensing requirements will apply to this unit of competency depending on the regulatory requirements of each
jurisdiction.
This unit of competency supports the attainment of the basic OHS knowledge required prior to undertaking designated
work tasks within any of the sectors within the construction industry. The unit relates directly to the general induction
training program specied by the National Code of Practice for Induction for Construction Work (ASCC 2007).

Emergency Fire Warden Training
Minimum of 8 participants required
This unit of competence applies to a person who is required to control the evacuation of personnel from the workplace
to a muster point and includes moving mobility/sensory impaired people including persons with either temporary or
permanent sensory impairment and casualties, or others who require assistance during an evacuation.
Contributing circumstances might include:
re or smoke spread
hazardous releases - loss of containment
earthquakes, severe storm damage, cyclones,
oods and other nature and human-made
disasters.
The individual would:
control the evacuation
conduct head counts
instigate checks for missing persons
relocate evacuated persons to other areas

Generally the person would be part of a team during the incident but may be required to act independently. At all
times they would be liaising and cooperating with other members of the team.
